The excitement of going away is like nothing else 🙂. We have done a few ferries to France but never a night crossing - they look so cosy and much more fun. The cabins are ace, with en suite too, crazy! Looking forward to the arrival in France....👍

Ferry boats are fun. I once crossed from Hook of Holland to Ipswich on the ferry in 1971. About seven or eight hours at night. I was on foot. Slept on the floor in the lounge. The engine vibrations soon had me fast asleep. I was 19. I've been on lots of Great Lakes ferries. Always interesting.
That ferry ride looks like a lot of fun! I've only been to France once and that one time I took the train from London. Now I wish I'd taken the ferry! :)
Thanks for the selfie shot in the cabin mirror. Your mic is in the same place as mine (below the lens when I assumed it was on the top of the camera). I will have another go at sticking sone furry stuff on to stop the wind noise.
Well it did a great job on the deck. I only heard the wind a bit when you filmed the wake over the railings. I only have to breath near mine to hear that horrible wind noise. That's why I use a music track so often as I speak to the camera when vlogging but then I can't use the soundtrack because of the wind noise.
I have a few little tricks up my sleeve. 1) if it’s really bad, simply don’t use it. 2) turn down the bass on the clip’s audio, as wind noise tend to be lower frequencies. 3) repeat what I just said on camera out of the wind and switch the audio over onto the previously wind-noisy clip. X
Haha I know what your invisible boyfriend means, I hate the smell of some foods after I've eaten them particularly Maccys. I love night crossings, so exciting. Glad it's not just me that gets lost on ferries 😂😂👍👍

Looks very similar to the BC Ferries here in my neck of the woods, minus the lodging part. Before the pandemic, I wanted to do a ferry ride tour of all the different routes within the BC Ferries fleet. I suppose that will have to wait until this pandemic goes away.

We’re trying to remember how long the crossing was - this was a few years ago and we’ve forgotten. My other half thinks about 6 hours?
What time did u arrive in france ?
I can't remember now - I think it was somewhere between 7 and 8 am. This trip was done the summer before last. I hope that helps! :¬D
