The time of freedom of speech is largely gone in America for many people that do not seek out peripheral information sources.
This entire issue is emblematic of the abandonment of ancient humanistic principles for contemporary, pragmatic, oligarchic gamesmanship. It is a slippery slope that has been embarked upon knowing that wealth is power while also acknowledging that most of us fall far below that threshold. Gaza is an eyesore that exposes the duplicity and depravity of our own governmental hierarchy.
The slippery slope argument is literally a fallacy. Anyone with half a brain knows that what is happening there is terrible. If an idea or value results in the killing of innocent people, is it truly a good idea or value?

It is full of master techniques on how to mislead and divert journalists away from the truth of Israel's misdemeanours and felonies. I had always wondered why journalists, even good ones were getting misled and diverted. One really has to do ones homework before talking to an Israeli spokesperson, because if you don't know thoroughly what you are talking about, the specifics of the incident, then they run circles around you, they don't know nuffink about nuffink, and then it always comes back to Hamas or everyone else in the world is to blame except them. I tried to read THE ISRAEL LOBBY in 2007 but was unable to finish it. I found it to be unbearably true and I went into overload. Conflating anti-Zionism with antisemitism is real and is terrible. I’ve been accused many times of being antisemitic which is absurd given that half my heroes are Jewish. The Jewish people and their culture are admirable but the Zionism being practiced in Israel is horrible.
