  • In this wood turning tutorial I make a Giant button out of soft maple, and show you how to make it using a wood lathe. I had this board laying around the shop for a few years and wanted to do something with it. In this video you’ll get to watch the whole process from cutting, to glueing to turning this piece.

This made me smile it is a really cute button you amazed me on how you made the button holes and again I like how you explain things simply thank you. The grain in this piece of wood is really nice and the finish you've used has made is nice and shiny and really show the colour and grain. You are really inspiring me and my partner

😄 I love how happy you look with your finished button! This was a great tutorial. I am a newbie, I’m going to make this button in to a stool for a friends sewing room. Thanks!

That is a wonderful idea! I might try a button stool.

Love the idea, planning a variant on that, with a set of clock hardward mounted in a recess on the rear, and hands on the front.

If this is going to be your halloween costume , then you need a needle and thread going through one of the holes and coming out the back. 😂😂😂
