whoa you didn't watch it twice lol. I personally think that 'Thanks' is the most powerful song done by Seventeen music wise and lyrics wise. Being Carats since Predebut era makes me really notice that Seventeen is growing up a lot these days. Boi, I even teared up when I watched Thanks for the first time because it is THAT powerful and touching at the same time. I had the same reaction as you when I heard Jeonghan's part in Thanks lol because I kind of don't expect that from Yoon Jeonghan. AND ABOUT MINGHAO MY BOI, Seventeen gave him center part because of his lack of presence in Clap era😭 I really like that even though there's 13 of them, they split everything in a fair amount for next comeback like what you just mentioned the lack of main vocal in the last 2 comebacks, and suddenly Seventeen drop a vocal-heavy song. I really like this comeback!

i agree so much about the repackaged album title tracks upstaging the original title tracks. pretty u was a great song, but nothing could've prepared us for the epicness of aju nice lmao. same w/ clap & thanks. what i love is the consistency in quality w/ the repackaged b-side songs, they don't just add 2 or 3 mediocre songs & call it a day, they always add songs almost as good as the title track

Am I the only carat who prefers pretty u to aju nice? 😂😂😂 Pretty U is the song that gets me into 17. Even mansae had no impact. It wasnt until I got into them that I appreciate mansae.

yesss josh & jeonghan were just okay vocalists when seventeen debuted but they've improved so much. i mean josh is now the Legendary Starter of Seventeen Songs and booooiiiiiiii i was not prepared for jeonghan's vocals in this comeback, i almost fell out of my chair (not joking) bc his vocal game was too strong lmao. i'm so happy that they've figured out what suits each member's talents best & using them to the team's advantage (except for jun. they figured it out in lillili yabbay but none of their songs ever since have used that beautiful-ass falsetto again. get on it, woozi + bumzu)
yesss i guess it's all about finding that correct range of vocals that each of them sound great in. Personally I find josh sounding GREAT in that Aju Nice acoustic version and Rocket. Time to bloom those talents ;)
At this point u know it's a good song if Josh starts the song (although every svt song is good)👌👌
Something I find interesting is that seventeen is starting to rotate the “center” members. By that I mean early on vernon, mingyu, woozi, and maybe seungkwan were really pushed to the front the most. Now mingyu didn’t even get a close up shot in the music video and the four I just mentioned don’t get nearly as much screen time or lines as they used to. If I had to pick the “center” members that I think seventeen is promoting the most now I’d say it’s Joshua, Jun, and Jeonghan (before I feel like most people just soloed him out for his hair which is a damn shame and I’m glad he’s getting a lot more love now). Scoups, Wonwoo, Hoshi, and DK have also been really eye catching and I know many people who have gotten into seventeen because they stand out a lot. I think Dino and Minghao (even tho minghao has been getting a lot better screen/center/line distribution) are the ones who need to get some spotlight maybe through a solo project or reality show appearance soon. Dino can literally do anything - rap sing dance and is really funny while minghao’s sass and sense of humor plays out really well on variety shows, he’s a fantastic dancer, and while his voice isn’t the strongest it still has a unique tone, as proven with My I. It’s just really interesting to me as a long time fan to see how the focus has shifted, because I remember when people only knew seventeen because of vernon.

I think this choreo feels almost more powerful than Clap because of its abundance of emotion? The feelings that are portrayed through the choreography- their struggles, their hard work, their thankfulness - make me feel overwhelmed and proud whenever I watch it. ^^
Honestly I agree. Minghao doesn't get lines but as time has progressed - he spends more time centre stage than any other member and you can almost always see him somewhere.
my bias is minghao because of Hot but now that i’m lookin back at their older songs I can almost never see him which is very different to their newer ones

Well, I think they gave Minghao a center position because he was missing from so many performances due to health issues. Just likes they did for Wonwoo in Boom Boom. They really look out for each other!!

Seventeen title tracks never really resonated with me (was always a B side track guy for seventeen) until 'Don't Wanna Cry', and Clap wasn't to my taste at all but then they hit me with this I feel attacked it's so good it's been on replay since release lmao

I am so glad to hear what you said about Aju Nice and public reaction to it because the centre for that era was Seokmin. Also recently I have heard about some nasty things people said about Seokmin and how he "failed" in that era. For me it was the best era because the song is great, the dance is amazing and Seokmin shines in aju nice era!

but also i liked what you said about the choreography differences between clap and thanks. like you said, clap has a very powerful swagger feel to it while i feel like thanks is powerful in terms of how emotional it is. this is a present to the fans and i think a lot of us were expecting another smile flower type song, but we got something that is, at least to me, a lot better. this song and choreo is just so raw and captivating and the meaning behind it all just adds to the effect. i literally cried the first time I watched the mv, which is weird considering the genre and all that, but the amount of emotion that shines through is what makes it so good. it's their personal message to us, the fans, and that connection we get with them in this is so pure. thank you pd and thank you seventeen.

Honestly, this is the first video I’ve properly watched of yours and it was great to see how you pointed out all of those things I’d maybe never even consider. Just, does it have a good tone. I enjoy how you pointed out Seungkwan and DK, and how much Joshua has grown. How Minghao, even if he doesn’t get a lot of lines he has a huge stage presence. And the rappers, how the beat changed during their parts. It all makes me appreciate the song so much more than I already did.

For some reason I felt like the choreography was.. Nostalgic? It felt like a 'thank you' but also like a look back to the opportunities they have been able to have. I haven't been a carat for very long but I still felt like I could cry while watching. I can't even imagine what long time fans noticed. Overall the song was a bit dubsteppy for me but it brought across all the feeling above and the song was obviously perfected a lot. The song will most likely grow on me over time, this is just my first impression of the song itself.

I have to giggle whenever I watch this & PD talks about Aju Nice being bigger than Pretty U for SEVENTEEN. The boys did an interview where Woozi said Aju Nice was their first choice for title track but Pledis turned it down & he had to put together Pretty U.

As much as I loved the other choreographies, the choreography here really tells a story. Instead of a swag and chill dance it is expressive and powerful. It is quite different and I don't see it very often.
Don't let me get started on the song itself! I was probably more hype in this song than I was for clap. I also like how after the raps the pre chorus is less upbeat and more light. Tbh the pre choruses in seventeen's songs are always my favourite part.

I think that every song they make it is more and more mature. You can see this with the choreography and lyrics and compare it to the debut songs and in my opinion it is going to pay off for them really heavily. Keep it up boiiiz
The first time I watch the mv, it definitely made me emotional. It has the same vibe with DWC but definitely more intense, both in terms of song and dance.. I love their fun, youthful song like Mansae, but this one really took my love for Seventeen to the next level ♥

So obviously this is up there as one of my favorite SVT songs and MV. It is honestly amazing. Okay real words. I thought it was amazing how Joshua gets to start songs. He has come so very far from even Healing to now. I agree Woozi and Jeonghan don't get as many lines but this one seemed to be a perfect setting for both of their voices. A chance for them to shine. Ok, we were all waiting for this, but can i just say: I LOOOOOVE THAT INTRO!!! I looooove how it makes Seventeen comeback SUPER DUPER PRECIOUS! And, i think this MV is really super clever as you said. My favorite part being the last chorus/dance where they switch shots of different members performing, and location and everything, it gives so much more punch to the choreo (as if it was needed) and is a great final!!! I love the b-side songs of the repackaged album too, i'll wait until sunday like a good girl for the listenning party!
