He has danced with international organizations like Culture Shock, Hit The Floor Productions, GEC Entertainment, and performed for the Los Angeles Rose Parade, international artist Jonalyn Viray, and competed internationally at Hip Hop International and is a two time City of Alhambra B-boy Champion.
    As a health coach, he's been coaching for several years and was featured on Time Warner's Get Fit. He's helped hundreds of individuals not only burn fat and build muscle, but also create a healthy active lifestyle so that people no longer have to yo-yo.
    He's recognized for his zen style leadership. Combine that with his passionate vision of guiding others to become their best selves, gives him an authority when it comes to personal transformation. Whether it be through dance or fitness classes, he coaches individuals to gain the confidence they seek and get they results they never thought was possible.

    That "gentle neck - hand tap movement" is actually Korean's sign language which mean "thank you". They add this movement so that they can send their thanks to every fans.
    After I found out the truth behind the choreography, I got emotional every time I saw this dance practice
    P/s: So so sorry for my English. I'm still learning it 😂

    • @redtaring
      @redtaring 2 ปีที่แล้ว +38

      Yup! It's just the double tap on the back of the hand but they incorporated it by coming from the neck. Also the beginning and ending where they hold their pinky means "promise". Combined with the fact that this was about gratitude and dedicated to fans...super emotional song ahaha (p/s: Your English is great! Just be unapologetic like Boo Seungkwan, don't care what people say!)

    thanks is well known within and outside the fandom for having one of the fastest fanchants (the cheering you hear in live performances), especially the roll call (basically a list in the fanchant of all the members sorted by age). it's all 13 names in 5 seconds lol

    my favourite part of this choreo is the part from 5:05 to 5:10 because of the way it plays off of the lyrics. roughly translated they go "Because they're such common words I was worried they wouldn't sound sincere. I was looking for something better than 'thank you' that I couldn't even tell you 'thank you'" and in the choreo the two guys standing up (Hoshi and Jun) are reaching for the hands of the others like one would for flowers, but the hands, aka the words they're searching for, fall away before they can grab any of them. didn't know this either until somebody pointed it out under a different reaction video but i've been in awe of it ever since

    Yay another SVT reaction..Seventeen really focus on delivering the message of their music/song to their audience. Actually Thanks it's a song dedicated to their fans and they even use a sign language at 4:34 and 6:56 ..Their choreo is not only unique but also meaningful because they want you to feel the song more.

    That strong shoulder tap to gentle taps passing through the arm and lastly when u focused on it they do a tap or double on their palm with their other hand like “hand slice position (idk how to explain it, sorry)” … it is actually a sign language that literally means “thanks/thank you” and hoshi was the one behind that idea :)))

  • @MaiMai-yd4sk

    This choreo is so meaningful .

      @jeongjgyhkmhj1992 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      The part where they are laying down making two circles with jun and hoshi being the center is so meaningful, like the lyrics say 'I was looking for words that are better than thank you, and I counldnt even say thank you', with their hand moves look like theyre picking something

    As someone who studies psychology the Kurosawa effect I know of is about the subjective interpretations of events. It basically talks about the nature of the human mind and how several people can interpret a single event in vastly different ways that are all accurate to some degree. This is seen most evidently during legal matters when two sides claim two opposing arguments around a single event. It’s also known as the rashumon effect from his movie wherein different witnesses seem to give different and contradictory statements about a murder.

    This is one of my favorite dance from seventeen.
    I love seventeen's dance because they are more lyrical dance that remind me of old kpop.
    Seventeen sometimes use sign language in their dance like thanks, pretty you and clap.
    And i love that.

    If I'm not mistaken.. they associated sign language in this choreo.. The "Thank you" one,also they made some formations that spell out "T" "H" "X"...that's smart right...? Totally makes sense as message for the songs,They made it for fans/people who love them.. As diff people w/diff situation who'll see the choreo, they'll get the meaning...breaking the language barrier through performance..

    7:25 yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My friends and I had such a hard time cleaning this piece when covering it bc it really was very flowy and more about the feel of the movement rather than the execution of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    10:00 the ripple is so satisfying to watch and when we finally pulled it off IT FELT SO GOOD but the weave through oh man,, that took us forever.
    12:45 I'm a little curious why you mentioned shoulder for this part bc it always seemed like the head was leading??
    and yay for the carats in your chat who pointed out the easter bunnies in the choreo :'))))

    • @viviannguyen4226
      @viviannguyen4226 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you look closely at 12:45 you can see that it is the shoulder that is leading. It's like a hard lend and then the head...falls off? I don't know how else to say that but hopefully it makes sense?

    You know what makes me so annoyed with Kpop sometimes, even though so many dancers praise Seventeen's dance skills and as you said, you would be afraid to compete with them at dance competitions, Seventeen always lose the best dance performance awards. I wish dance performances are judged by professionals instead. But alas, Kpop is like that.

    "Why so farrrr????"
    1. Because there are already videos scheduled. I post K-Pop reaction videos on Monday and Wednesday only. This gives me an opportunity to share the other content i'm passionate about for this channel.
    2. Releasing content like this allows me to keep the channel consistent and focus on other projects other than trying to keep a daily youtube schedule since I run two businesses. It's all a part of my quarterly releases. Which you can see here: airtable.com/shrkUSn8a34srUFLh. (Patrons get access to the master lists, and early releases)
    3. Traditional studios and movies promote their content months in advance prior to the premiere to help build anticipation. The public already knows the date of when these movies are coming out. I know I'm no big-time studio, but why can't I take a similar approach to my content?
