Anyone saying the field being small is the reason why they were scoring runs didn’t watch the game. Wake was hitting absolute bombs. The only one that was a wall scraper was hit to the big part of the field. Those would have been out in any park. Alabama’s were well hit too.
Wake has the most ridiculous home field advantage with the colors on their field. Team’s fielding percentages drop by 50 points when they play there. They have a 90+ winning percentage at home with a 73 percent winning percentage on the road. I think as good as they’ve looked they’re in for a rude awakening in Omaha.
Less to do with the colors and more to do with the speed of turf I'd imagine. I know getting 22 runs scored on you is tough but wake is just clearly the better team.
