So are we all waiting for one brave soul to produce a table showing what all the "Set unit AI life" values do for each airframe? How future proof will this method be in case of changes to modules down the line, in terms of campaigns etc.?

Thanks for sharing this. Creating little SP missions it's always nice to have non scripting triggers to build situations that bring some life into. Bit afraid of the trial and error numbers searching. Also I hope this figures will not change or mission/campaign creators will have a busy life dealing with updating their campaigns after patches.

Confused about those values, are they percentage? or does values represent various failures?
Like value 19 for the F16 mean that it lost oil pressure, and value 21 means the radar died?

Every unit within DCS has a coded life value and this particular trigger action is a percentage based figure, to enable you to adjust a specific units starting life.
It wasn’t designed, to specifically produce the extra benefits I have shown you in this video. I discovered these additional benefits, whilst testing a theory. So no, it is not linked to a specific airframe failure but using it, you could/can simulate any failure your imagination can come up with.

Excellent video as usual. You put a lot of work into this video, did you crate a table for the different numbers and there functions .

Great video. Still probably won’t use it, as I do not have the time or patience to test these values for each airframe.

ED should document these values, or make them somewhat consistent across airframes

Thanks for the daily reminder to give up on DCS. At this point, it's impossible to fix the game incrementally and even if it were, ED is not going to do it. Even if they did, it would take another 15 years and still be full of bugs. PvP WVR action is ok but DCS is good for simulating war in a fragile scripted fashion only. Any degree of persistence between missions is sorely lacking. Combined Arms has incredible potential if the F10 interface is separated and redesigned but nothing is happening on that front. That new Olympus thing is running JavaScript inside a browser to do simple things that could be readily and easily taken care of inside the game itself with far less setup and overhead. Shameful.
