    I happened to be in Jeju on a similar day also ! Absolutely beautiful 😍. But went up on the easier Yeongsil trail & down from the Eorimok trail. Do u plan to go again so that u can visit the peak ?

      Yesss!!! It was such a pity that we couldn't reach the peak and we'll definitely have to go back just to see what we missed out on 😂 We might not do Gwaneumsa again though 🧐🤪

    just wondering, do u need any registration before hiking ? can u share how much cost/ticket to entering hiking ?

      Hi!! Registration is required for the 2 trails that reach the summit of hallasan - gwaneumsa and seongpanak! They are free but there are limited slots available so do register early; i believe they open a month or two in advance! Btw, do check up on the rules as there are requirements regarding the timing you enter as well as when you reach certain checkpoints!!! Happy hiking 😆😆

    May I ask if sports shoes are good enough for this hike or better to wear hiking boots?

    • @nick_and_ada
      @nick_and_ada  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We wore boots but i (nick) really really regretted it. It added a ton of weight and wasn't comfortable for a full day hike. I'd recommend for you to wear hiking shoes (basically running shoes with more traction, e.g. from Salomon or Hoka) or wear running shoes and bring along crampons!! You might also want to wear gaiters if you don't want too much snow going in 😂

    Hey great video it looks amazing :)
    Did you bring ice cleats for this ? I imagine it must have been really slippery

    • @nick_and_ada
      @nick_and_ada  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi!! Yes! We did bring crampons as some sections were full of ice (especially on the staircases). We'd also recommend gaiters if you have them! They'll really help to keep the snow out of your shoes 😂

    hi do u mind sharing url for your baby blue top? and do u need a thermal wear underneath it?

    • @nick_and_ada
      @nick_and_ada  ปีที่แล้ว

      I bought the top 4 years ago at Primark! I'm not sure if they still have anything similar 😅🫠

      @@nick_and_ada haha no worries, thanks😊 by the way did you layer with thermal wear under when you went hiking? not sure if will feel overheated as planning to hike in winter too

    • @nick_and_ada
      @nick_and_ada  ปีที่แล้ว

      We didn't! It started getting very warm once we began our hike, to the point that Nick was perspiring 😂 It did get chilly once you reach the top section though! From our experience, it's definitely best to go with lighter weight clothing that's still wind and rain proof while reasonably warm. (Heavy clothes can make the hike really difficult; we regretted wearing these winter jackets up 😂😂)

      @@nick_and_ada wahh really! thanks for the advice as was initially afraid might be too cold in the low single digit temp without thermal beneath

      It should be fine most of the way!! Do take note of the strict timings you must meet to reach the summit and bring some good waterproof footwear if you're going in mid winter! Happy hikes!!! 😁😁
