Can i know what month is this ?
im thinking of buying seat. because i know it would look good if we get to see it even far from behind.. if we sit, the view is very restricted perhaps.is it worth it...
Hi, can you share the exactly location of snow crab you ate in the video cause i can’t find it on Naver map by searching Sindonga market 😭 thank you so much
Hi Nick and Ada, how was the drive to south island in October? Are the roads Icy? Did u need a snow chain?
Hi Nick and Ada Just want to check with you . Our Singapore license can use in NZ ? Or we need to apply international driving permit from AA ? Thanks Ahjack
Wherecdidcyou parked your car?is there are FREE parking ?
Glad you liked Mt Cook. Im a fellow SG living in NZ and actually have a house in Twizel for my future retirement.
Sorry..Can you tell me what month is this? Is it open mid March ??
Looks like the weather was a hassle but the footage you got of Jeju in the winter is really lovely!
Just stumbled upon your content, but I really love the chill and realistic vibes here. Personally, I much prefer high-grade hanwoo over high-grade wagyu. I feel like wagyu doesn't taste beefy enough and is way too rich. IMO, hanwoo occupies the perfect middle ground between A5 wagyu and USDA prime steaks.
What is the accommodation's name?
thanks for good sightseeing~
Thank you!! 😍
Greetings from Redondo Beach CA 🇺🇸. Looks like Red Rock near Summerlin. Nice work on this video. Cheers 🍻
Thank you!!
May I ask if sports shoes are good enough for this hike or better to wear hiking boots?
We wore boots but i (nick) really really regretted it. It added a ton of weight and wasn't comfortable for a full day hike. I'd recommend for you to wear hiking shoes (basically running shoes with more traction, e.g. from Salomon or Hoka) or wear running shoes and bring along crampons!! You might also want to wear gaiters if you don't want too much snow going in 😂
Noted with thanks!
Nice ❤
❤
How cold is the water ? Thanks
I think it was probably 10-15 degrees! But they do give a wetsuit that will keep you warm in the water; only your face and hands will freeze 😂
@@nick_and_ada Thanks for the reply. I've been to colder waters (1-5 degrees) but I wore a dry suit. So can't feel the cold. I did a dive in GBR wearing wet suit and the water was 22 degrees ... I was silvering throughout...haha. you guys are amazing (zai) to endure 10 degree on a wetsuit. Thanks again .. looking forward to trying as well..
I just checked the website! The one-piece wetsuit and jacket were 5mm each so i think that made a really big difference 😂😂
What month is this? Nice video by the way
We were there at the end of December, close to Christmas!!
How far tosokchon from gyeongbok palace? Is it walking distance?
Yes, the store is a short 10 min walk from the closest entrance of the Gyeongbokgung palace!!
I just stumbled upon your video, and I enjoyed it! I'm subscribing to your channel now! ;)
Hi Bree! Thank you for the kind words!! Happy you have you onboard ❤️
just wondering, do u need any registration before hiking ? can u share how much cost/ticket to entering hiking ?
Hi!! Registration is required for the 2 trails that reach the summit of hallasan - gwaneumsa and seongpanak! They are free but there are limited slots available so do register early; i believe they open a month or two in advance! Btw, do check up on the rules as there are requirements regarding the timing you enter as well as when you reach certain checkpoints!!! Happy hiking 😆😆
How full is the shuttle bus when you took it? I heard that they don't let people in once the bus is full, did you had to worry about that?
The shuttle bus in was alright as people go in at different timings, but the buses out of the slopes were really really full as everyone tries to ski till the last minute. Some people had to stand up in the bus, whilst many were left behind to wait 😂😂 hope this helps!!
In order to reach the Alphe House (Top Restaurant) do we need to pay a lift? In the website it says lift is priced at 65,000KRW for 4 hours
Hi! Sorry but we don't know about the Alphe House 😂 we had our lunch at the ski restaurant
Hi, did you find out about the lift price? I saw another vlogger recommended Vision Ski Rental and they offer as low as KRW 39,000 for weekday 4-hr lift. I'm wondering if there are any other options.
Is it able to rent skii googles there ? Or you purchased them before hand?
We rented the goggles and helmet as a set from a store there! It wasnt included in our package
@@nick_and_ada thanks! Do you still remember how much does the rental of a set cost?
It was probably 10-15k won for the helmet + goggles!
Hi thank you for nice info. Can i ask you something 😊 Where to take the shuttle bus when we get off at baegyangri station and heading to elysian ski resort? And how much is the shuttle bus cost? Thank you before 😊
Hi!! The shuttle bus was free and it was right outside the station!! Just make sure you get off at the right stop 😂😂
Is it cold during winter in Jeonju? i am going Jeonju in Jan!
Yes! We went in late dec and it was actually really really cold. There was snow everywhere and the wind was pretty strong. Do prepare warm clothing when you go!! Jeonju was one of the prettiest places that we went to during our trip and we wished that we had more time there 🥲
A little late to the comments, but fellow Singaporean who is gonna grad uni next year!🎉 Planning to go Mid-end august 2024. How was driving in the winter like for you guys? my concern is black ice on roads, did you encounter any during the winter ?
Hi!! Congrats on your upcoming grad 🤘🏻🔥 Driving in winter in new zealand was actually pretty great! The roads are regularly checked, maintained, and if there's any danger, they either close the road or have loads of warning signs in the area. We didn't have to use our snow chains at all (however, do note that we went in june so conditions might be quite different). NZ also has a department focused on road conditions so you might want to check their website regularly when you're there! I think some of my friends were trapped in towns when there was too much snow at the exits. Do also note that some roads, like those going to milford, may be closed during periods of bad weather Hope this helps!!
@@nick_and_ada thank you very much for the reply! Appreciate it, i will keep a look out while i am there! Awesome videos !
Sick stuff guys!<3
Wow, that was a challenging and test of endurance hike. Respect 😁
Thank you!! It was indeed tough 😂 would recommend training up a lil bit otherwise you’ll end up like me 🤣
Hey great video it looks amazing :) Did you bring ice cleats for this ? I imagine it must have been really slippery
Hi!! Yes! We did bring crampons as some sections were full of ice (especially on the staircases). We'd also recommend gaiters if you have them! They'll really help to keep the snow out of your shoes 😂
are any store to rent that thing at there ? @@nick_and_ada
I’m also heading to this Elysian Ski!! May I know if I can rent their coat for skiing?
Hi! The coat and trousers were part of the package that we booked! We used Trazy for ours; you may search for Elysian ski and check that the package includes ski clothes and equipment rental! Hope this helps and have fun!! 😁😁
Is the ikseon shooting club open on weekdays? cant seem to find the opening hours on Google
Hi!! They should be open every day! The cafes in the area are mostly always open 😂😂
Just done Roy's peak in the snow. It was epic. Thanks for sharing your adventure 😊
Woww that must have been really fun (although pretty exhausting)! Can't for us to get to do it again 😂😂 thanks for watching!!!
Where are from guys ???
We're from Singapore!!
Love you guys ❤ . Love form india ❤
Hi! Wanna ask if you bring your own tent?
Hi!! We didn't; the (incredible) porters brought the tent, mattresses, sleeping bags, tables and chairs! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 it's typically included in the packages when you sign up 😁😁 hope this helps!!!
Nice hike ❤😊👍
It really was an incredibly beautiful and rewarding hike, even though it was really challenging each step of the way up 😂😂😂
omg idk why when I first read the title I thought it would be a ~casual~ walk up a volcano but 4 DAYS AND 3 NIGHT HIKE?!? 😮 Eagerly waiting to see how it went but the views in the preview look SO GOOD 🤩
Yess, it was so much more difficult than we thought it would be (subtext: physically and mentally unprepared), but the views made it soo worth it!!!! 😍😍😍
Yo guys how r u ❤
We are doing well 😂 Hope everything is going well with you too!!! 😁😁
First time saw the Roy's Peak in a snow covered video. Amazing, thanks for sharing 😊
It was a really beautiful sight! Made the long hike worth it 😂 We're glad that you enjoyed the view ☺️☺️
Hi! What camera did you use for this? Nice vlog :)
Hi!! We used a mix of Sony's ZV-1 and Fuji's XT-3 with the XF 16-80mm F4 R OIS WR lens 😂 Thanks!!
which month were you guys there?
We were there around Christmas!!! The weather and views were amazing ❄️☃️🎄
@@nick_and_ada that’s nice! We are planning to go around that period too. Hopefully it’s as white too!
Nice!! There's lots of food to try in Jeonju so you should plan it out haha! You might also want to try staying in a Hanok for a night or two!!
She's so pretty..lucky guy
🥰
Cool Video guys, welcome to NZ where the weather always changes! :D
May i know is took 🎉how long to hiked up and down?
We took about 3 hours in and 2 hours out! The path was rather flat and manageable but the ice and snow on the floor slowed us down quite abit 😂
Was this Winter? Is it a good season to visit NZ?
Yes! We went in late June and had a lovely time on all of our hikes, with views of freshly fallen snow on mountains and fields 😍 do note that winter brings about some challenges, such as bouts of unpredictable windy, rainy, and snowy weather, short daylight hours (especially when you have to drive quite abit to get anywhere in NZ), as well as snow on the hiking trails, making them more tiring and difficult. If we were to go back to NZ, we would still choose to go back in winter!!! ❄️⛄️
cafe looks peaceful & quiet in the middle of the busy Hongdae area!
It really was very peaceful! It's a great place to take a break from the noise and activity along the main shopping street 🧘🏻♂️🧘🏻♀️😂
Omg this looks so tiring but the view is AMAZING!!! I've only hiked in autumn in korea, but wow the view in winter is AWESOME! Thanks for sharing!
