- After originally snapping the input shaft causing a massive transmission failure we thought we could get the car back with a quick fix. Sadly it turned out there would be a lot more work involved. After some brain storming and calculated decisions I have decided to bring the car back with some BIG CHANGES! Stay Tuned For The REBUILD EPISODES.

I've been debating on the JWT C8 272 cam or the JUN 272 cam. I've heard the JUN cam chops more but I've only seen a few vida on power stats. What do yall think I should go with? 2013 Nismo 370z 6spd MT 4.08 gears, ported manifold, 61mm TB, 3" Intakes, Megan Racing headers and Y pipe, Tomei single exit, Z1 Clutch csc delete, short throw, and Z1 700cc injectors. Currently on a 93 tune

what intercooler is that? and are you running stock radiator still lol. idk i'd prolly get a tranny cooler too since heat can contribute to things breaking more easily. or go sequential rated for more power.
Haven't really seen vq tranny coolers but definitely would be good to have. The rad is CSF but with stock fans and intercooler came with thr turbo kit not sure
@@nitish21 sick, yeah dude tranny cooler man, shit probably got too hot and once metal goes to its heat point it shatters. I think. never heard of CSF bro is it good, I know peeps go mishimoto or Koyo I think it is.
Yeah I think the heat causes metals to break faster vs when they are colder so a transmission cooler might help in the long run. Or at least prevent a repeat.

the c8 cams is prolly a great idea for the midrange power, kind of like a twin turbo set up but with a single turbo. Also why ppl go 3.9 FD without having to drop the size and weight of their wheels to go lighter for better acceleration.
3.9.Ithink the gears become too short the car needs to get into a stride on boost
@nitish21 yeah i hear people saying that, but 3.9 is the equivalent of having 17 in wheels when you have 18 or 19s on cause the car travels more distance due to the gearing as if it would have with lighter weight 17s
@@babloo1666 in the g37 we built even just the factory 3.69 gear seemed like the gears ended too fast. And I felt the same driving both the turbo nismo 370z we built which had 3.9 gear but they were definitely quick
@@nitish21 dude I feel the gears end too fast on my 3.5 FD Brembo 03 G. Like there are not enough revs in 1st gear it peaks too quick, I think its the gear box ratios themselves more than the actual FD. Maybe this was corrected with the HR models later on and Cd009 tranny giving more teeth and diameter to 1st gear for more revs.
@@nitish21 just looked up the gear ratio for 1st on 6spd G35's, its 3.7, no wonder it ends faster than a hollywood romance. Nissan focused too hard on acceleration off the line and limited the revs 1st gear needs before needing to shift. Just let the FD be higher instead getting acceleration out of the back end. 2nd does have good revs at 2.3 and the rest are 1's with 6th being 0.7 and obviously once you are in 6th you can rev for days. Compare to a AT G35 whose 1st gear is 3.5, it probably revs longer than the 1st gear in a 6MT G35 at almost 3.8.
For n/a application do you still think the c8 much more worth than the c9 since you dont have to do the head, pistons, rods and cost of labor? Coming from a HR
Not too sure for NA setup but I'm pretty sure you'll get more power with the c9 top end either way

I don't even like vhr it doesn't sound as good as the de especially when cammed. But we did a vhr with my boys g37 it didn't even last. I'd rather just switch to LS at that point
