You just showed us the joy of architecture can also be derived from working on an existing idea and bringing out the hidden beauty within... I think you did a wonderful renovation, and also, your video was engaging and well detailed. Hoping to learn more from you.. well done,
Oh and questions might come later, but for now, I'm still in awe

hello, really enjoyed your video. one question, do you recommend getting the architecture degree here in the USA? Im asking because i currently work with a civil engineer as a draftsman and a lot of people call themselves "building designers" or "designers", they can do plans for residential and commercial projects and just need the engineers seal to get their plans approved for construction. so is it really worth it to get the architecture degree or should i save the time and money and just learn by myself to become a "building designer"?

Thanks for watching :) I do think getting a degree and an architecture license will take you far in your career if you want to have your own practice/ firm. Alot of states require an architect stamp + an engineer stamp. But again, I can understand how getting a Masters can be expensive and time consuming, so working under someone can be an option but you will never be able to call yourself an “Architect” for legal reasons.

@@malbeldesigns thank you for your point of view ! :D i see you graduated from the academy of art university in sam francisco. Did you attend physical classes or did you do the online program ? Im interested in finishing my architecture degree (i have an associates degree) through their online program and would really like to read your opinion of their program. Im in texas and there’s no nearby universities that offer architecture, so i cant finish the degree because i cant leave home, so this online program might be my last shot at finishing with architecture. Thank you for your time 😅

@@joenaranjo4881 Yup I did my B.ARCH at the Academy onsite in San Francisco (2014-2019). Their online program is pretty solid, they established that a long time ago and it’s pretty streamlined. I have friends that are doing the online program now. Happy to connect you with them. Email me: bellajdel.malak@gmail.com
