Just came here after watching the actual Minecraft movie trailer and let me just say that what the multi-billion dollar companies just posted does not even belong in the same universe as this masterpiece. No matter how successful or unsuccessful the Warner Bros's movie will be, there's not a doubt in my mind that you guys would've produced a movie a million times more successful. So thank you for being a prime example for how the movie trailer should've been like, and this production alone is beautiful 🙏
This captures the essence of Minecraft vibe, isolating, peaceful and calm yet full of a perilous journey, even feeling existential most of the time. Idk what the hell is that new trailer
if u think minecraft movie teaser is good you are probably a kid edit: yes, i was rude, yes, my english suck, yes, i started war in comments due to my bad english, yes, forgive me@@CtRAlTtAb
What I liked about this wasn't just the great look and mob creation, but that you captured the unique mood of Minecraft: calm, peaceful, dangerous, scary and epic.
Also the ending...Where Steve finally finds someone like him and he's no longer alone. After all the hell and saving the world, he finds someone like him.
0:22 I saw this video when it was released, today the trailer for the Minecraft movie came out, I still think this creation is much better than the original trailer.
Imagine WB actually made this exact trailer. Are you seriously gonna tell me that people would leave positive reviews? NO. Ignore the two numbheads above me. People would be criticizing the trailer for not being blocky which is what makes minecraft... minecraft, not saying the WB trailer is good but it is closer to minecraft than this trailer. There is honestly no other way to make a minecraft movie UNLESS you do what Black plasma studios do. But then again we have to remember that this is WARNER BROTHERS making a MOVIE so they would try to make it look (visually, doesn't have to be logically) realistic as possible.
If it were Warner who had made this exactly "trailer", they would already be receiving criticism from all sides. Stop bragging about this guy for the trailer, because you would most likely be throwing hate if it was something official, hypocrite.
I just realized how good Iceland is as a real world Minecraft. Iceland has plains biomes, mountain biomes, waterfalls, lakes rivers, the nether volcanoes. Its even has ice biomes, and icebergs.
Outside of the quality of the video, what I like about this adaptation is the essence of loneliness it conveys. A movie that conveys this same essence and with a budget would have been incredible.
@@ShifterBo1 Nah he's right the current minecraft movie will probably suck because of it's visuals and i didn't like the lama just a bit either the sheep. İt's so unrealistic they should've made the movie like this video.
The character growth and change, the obvious physical and mental struggles, the fact that Steve’s hair and beard grows out to show the passage of time - EXCELLENT The emotions, the blood and pain, the loneliness and discovery of a partner, *this* is the Minecraft we know and love. THIS is the Minecraft movie we want.
The way that zombie was trying to drown Steve and when he was struggling with the pickaxe around the zombie's neck really added to the stuggles of Steve's Minecraft life.
its so surreal to to see the "feel" of Minecraft so accurately recreated in real life. that vast, lonely atmosphere. its a feeling you're intimately familiar with from playing the game but the blocky gives you a disconnect. this makes me feel really nostalgic, like this is what Minecraft is like in your head
I think that's just what it's like to be out in nature in Iceland. I travelled their solo in May, and this video (minus the fantasy creatures) just perfectly captures the feel of travelling through Iceland alone.
It’s an overuse approach but it fits Minecraft. Have Steve in the real world. He’s a rather bland disinterested human being. Boring job, boring layout in apartment does not do much else outside of work. Then one day, somehow gets transported to Minecraft and being in an unfamiliar world he has an existential crisis. He goes throughout the Minecraft world slowly becoming more interesting building a personality but by the third act Steve becomes bitter realizing he has become someone more than what he was in the real world but has no to show it to. And regrets all the lost time and interactions by being disinteresting. Then by the end he learns inner peace or meets Alex? Not sure how to end it or if this even a decent idea for a movie.
I cried a lot watching it......it reminded me of my most intimate memories with the game, we were just kids getting a taste of the feeling of freedom, adventure and mystery......
This actually gives off a Minecraft vibe while achieving a realistic art style, something the multi million dollar companies that try to squeeze out every penny possible cannot achieve these days.
@@ShifterBo1 what are you talking about? Imo that’s what minecraft’s community has been waiting all time. Movie with C418 soundtracks, beautiful realistic landscapes, terrible-amazing mobs and I think this trailer is fully deserved support from community.
I really enjoyed this video. I especially liked the final part. You can almost feel the amount of pain and hardship he has been through, the long hair really gives off that vibe. Then when he sees Alex his expression and mood change. Like he knows that he doesn't have to be alone anymore. Beautiful
@@IkeStarnes40 personally, i'm waiting for the trans/gay community to complain that it wasn't another steve that showed up.... Give it a minute, they will get to it..
If the Minecraft movie had to be live action, I wish it was like this. Not a CGI world, but something real. It captures that feeling of loneliness early minecraft had. The danger and the peacefulness.
There are 2 ways the movie should have been, either cartoonish and blocky, like Story Mode, or this, taking advantage of live action to give us beautiful shots that feel like they were actually from the game, and what the game actually feels like, this nailed the feeling of trying to progress but just observing the beauty around you.
