Very interesting film, Dave, I enjoyed that. Judging by Mr Beardmore's hairstyle, it must have been quite a few year's ago. It's a pity that the connection can't be made a bit more permanent, but it's great to be able to see how it was done. You know, the few times I've explored Tearsall Caverns, I've often found myself humming Handel's "Arrival of the Queen of Sheba", and now I know why! Mind you, the only version I've ever heard (that I can remember, anyway) is De Danann's version, where she arrives in Galway - th-cam.com/video/UPI_Ug_6tEI/w-d-xo.html
Alan, Thanks for getting in touch and glad you enjoyed the film. I see Andy from time to time as he has invited me up to their dig at Middleton (by Wirksworth) - he was helmeted at the time so I didn't see his latest style but he looks pretty much the same otherwise. I do get nostalgic for old days when caving brought me into contact with so many good people - the website has helped renew some friendships but going underground is now only a theoretical possibility! Dave
