As to the Alastors behavior with Lucifer. Alastor hates to not be the strongest person in the room so to speak. He is no where even near as strong as Lucifer so the best way he can get to him is acting like he does with Charlie and betting Lucifer won’t do anything to him because of Charlie. Mimzy shows up so that neither of them “wins” the song.
My headcannon is that Alastor was confident that Lucifer was like Charlie, in that he doesn't use his inherent power for petty things like arguments. So he felt like he could take jabs and insult him with little to no consequence. And Lucifer, being a decent person, of course didn't respond with violence.
Gotta love the brass balls on Alastor, he essentially walked right up to Lucifer, the actual king of hell, and as a once human sinner soul, stated point blank to his face "Your daughter calls me daddy too." and all hell (both metaphorically AND literally) broke loose.
I think the reason that Alastor is being so confrontational with Lucifer is because he sees him as a very real threat.
So far Al's main selling point to Charlie is that he can supply her and the hotel with what they need, which endears him to her and he could make use of that trust one day.
Lucifer however is far more powerful than Alastor and can offer Charlie way more aid, which would eliminate her "need" for him.
Also he generally gets along better with women than men, usually.

Al is rarely as happy as when someone is upset with him. Makes him feel accomplished. :P
More than anything answers the duck question. When Charlie is a kid and sitting on her dad's lap he makes the magical duck for her which she loves. Then her mom cones and takesbher away from him. That was a happy memory that stuck with him that moment with her. And ducks have become part of his depression. The two of their voices are magic together. Aaand now Alastor has to adjust his plans now that daddy is back. But that is what Alastor is best at.

I heard that Vivz even confirmed that Charlie was fathered by Lucifer, because of the abortion curse. I can only assume that this led to some tension between Lucifer and Lilith and I wonder if that was part of why they broke up. I too am HELLUVA SUS from Lilith. Even before the end of this episode.

He is acting out too try too guide Lucifer too acting because he knows and wants too make Charlie rely on him alone. He is controlling and according too viv had a shit showing with the men in his life. He knows Lucifer could replace him and ruin his plans with Charlie so he wants too write the book first so too speak

More than anything is my favorite song.
So... Lucifer's problem is shown in the prologue of episode 1. Heaven tossed him down to hell and only lets him see the sin and horrible things hisbgift to humanity caused. He lost his will to dream. Lost hope. It destroyed him.
Alastor... its not a power play really. Alastor is no match on any level in anybrealuty for Lucifer and Alastor isnt stupid. So he plays the one card he can... trigger Lucifer's feelings of inadequacy as a dad and his depression. He cant have Lucifer back in Charlie's life because then Charlie goesnto Dad for help and not Alastor. Alastor needs her to come to him. Remember Alastor plays the very long game. He plants lots of seeds and waits to see what sprouts. His real powers are observation and patience. He knows at some point he will gain enough favor with Charlie by playing along that she'll owe him. He also knows that by staying he can subtly suggest things to her. Steer her in his favor. Against his enemies. Alastor is extremely cunning and knowsbthat power isnt always about power.

There are multiple ways of reading Alastor.
For one, we can observe he's rather touch averse. Even meeting Lucifer, he prefers to shake his hand through a cane rather than direct touch. So one COULD argue that his willngness to touch Charlie indicates some affection, since he only tends to touch those he trusts or likes - such as Nifty. He doesn't even touch Husk to threaten him, he ONLY touches the chains, although he does prior. Touch aversion and being... Who and what Alistar is is amusing, of course, but still.
He's also prideful, so Lucifer not knowing who he is and calling him the bellhop likely aggravated him and made him feel threatened. Whether literally or in terms of his position.
