Thank you for your heartfelt reaction to this stellar performance by Dan. He just draws you into the scene he's setting. This was both vocally and theatrically stunning. Dan definitely could be on a Broadway stage, but I agree with you that it would be too small for him & he definitely would steal the show. He's not keen on working for an "employer" & having to do things their way so this platform gives him a worldwide audience without having to tour, and he has complete control over the entire process. That 2nd scream followed by him dropping to his knees is a jawdropper. Love, love, love Dan.😊

Dan is the only singer that can bring me to tears. It's not just his voice but the way he sings it and the emotion he puts into it. Dan is very special. I know he worked very hard to get his voice like it is, but still, there is something so very special about Dan.

I was waiting for you to get to this song because it is one of my favorite performances by Dan and the best version of this song I've ever experienced by anyone. I've been a fan of this piece since it was released on film in 1973! Yes, I'm an old man and this version gets me emotional every time.

I must be an even older woman because I remember wearing the grooves off the vinyl of the album that started it all in 1970. For me Ian Gillan, Murray Head and especially Mike d'Abo as Herod were always the goats for this but Dan outshines even Ian.
JCS was the first vinyl I bought when I got out of my Partridge family stage🤣 and I’ve heard every version of this. Wore out my vinyl🤣 Dan’s version is the only one that gives me chills & yes, brings tears to my eyes every time. I would love to see Dan play JC on stage. I would travel anywhere to see/hear that ❤️

Even though I’m a 53yo metalhead (since a young teen) but this performance by Dan is my absolute favorite. All Dan fans know he can sing but the acting/performing was also top notch. I’ve seen the big stars perform Gethsemane but , in my opinion, Dan’s is the best. I’m not even particularly religious but this moves me and gives me goosebumps every time I watch it! Andrew Lloyd Webber said that he believes this was the most difficult song to sing, that he's ever written. I'd love it if he would someday see Dan's masterpiece of a performance. I think it'd even blow him away! I've seen at least a couple of dozen reactions to this and every single one has resulted in the same stunned awe that you felt (and I feel every time) at the end. Even people who've seen Dan perform many other songs and are already fans, are left almost speechless and come away from it with even more respect for Dan than before. I'm surprised that it doesn't have 10 times the number of views that it does, but I suppose most people either see it as "religious" music or the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar is just something totally unfamiliar to them and they'll scroll right past it. That's why I'm so pleased that there are some extremely passionate and loyal members of #VascNation (they know who they are!) who will request this song through Patreon or some other means of channel support, to get their favorite reaction channels to take a look at it. Personally, I never liked the JCSS the musical version of Jesus and the way His words were presented. However, the message stays close enough to the intention. Dan did an amazing job with his acting too. :)

Many of us in Vasc Nation are also in Team Tommy. Tommy Johansson is Swedish and he improves any song you can think of. His version of She's Gone is a good starter. He produces, edits and plays all instruments. NO COPYRIGHT, same as Dan❤
Exactly how I felt..it made me feel as if I were witnessing the Agony in the Garden first hand, the pain and anguish, the fear, regret and every other emotion that the Mortal Jesus may have experienced, we will never know. Somehow though this performance renewed something in me and brought even more depth to my Christian Beliefs.. In these troubled times it gave me Hope. Thank you and God Bless

This was ok but I felt he was over acting somewhat. I much prefer John Farnham's version.
