1:00 mark.. I've been doing this prior to this video just to get my "feel" and throw warmed up, but i don't look at the board. I'll glance over at the TV, the wall, or away from the board and just focus on following through and how the dart feels leaving my hand. I do this for about 5 minutes or less until my throw feels warmed and primed up and then I'll start practicing or throw a few bs games to "warm up" but I "feel" warmed up per say as far as the muscles in my arm being loose, and the dart releasing perfectly! I recommend this to EVERYONE. It truly has made all the damn difference getting my game going and fast!
Thank you for your experience report. Very interesting! Another point that should not be scoffed at is that you only have a limited capacity for concentration. If you're already playing 121 during the warm-up, for example, you're already using up important resources. That's why we're fans of a relaxed warm-up in every respect.
Good one from beginners is to aim for bull/outer bull, if you get it with first dart then see if you get it with next 2. If for example, you just miss the 25 and hit single 11, then use your last 2 darts to try and get double 11. No wasted darts, bull practice and double practice every time
That's a brilliant drill-practical and efficient! 🎯 Combining bullseye accuracy with doubles practice is a great way to train focus and adaptability. Plus, it mimics real match scenarios where quick adjustments are key. Thanks for sharing-might just steal this for our next video! 😉
Welcome to the darts journey, and thank you for subscribing! 🎯 It's awesome that you're picking up the sport after being a fan for so long. Let us know how your first throws go-if you need any tips or advice, we’ve got you covered.
Starting at d20 to find your line is a great strategy! 🎯 It’s all about getting into a rhythm that works for you. Definitely give the first tip a shot-it might just add an extra layer to your practice routine. Let us know how it goes-sounds like you’re building a solid routine already!
The 5 min switching target - you didn’t specify but is this just doing random checkouts for 5 mins? Or do you suggest doing triples and then doubles randomly without trying a check out?
Great question! For the 5-minute switching target drill, the focus is on variety. You can aim for random triples, doubles, or even specific checkouts-it’s all about keeping your mind sharp and adjusting your aim quickly. If you're prepping for match play, mixing checkouts into the drill is a great idea. Adapt it to what you feel helps your game most! 🎯
That’s some solid progress-nice work! 🎯 Going from high 30s/low 40s to consistent 50s in just a few months is no small feat. It shows that whatever you’re doing-be it practice, mindset, or technique-is paying off. Keep that momentum going, and who knows? Those 60s and 70s might be just around the corner. Keep smashing it!
Exactly-practice really is the magic word in darts! 🎯 The more you practice, the more muscle memory takes over, and the less you have to overthink. Just remember to keep it fun while you're at it-consistent effort will always pay off. Let's keep those darts flying straight!
😂 Fair point-Cricket is a fantastic way to sharpen your precision and grouping skills! Constantly aiming for different targets keeps you focused and adaptable, which absolutely carries over to 501. But hey, 501 has its charm too... maybe it's the thrill of nailing that checkout under pressure? Either way, mix it up and keep enjoying the game-variety is the spice of darts! 🎯

Play cricket and you will get better groups better scoring in the boring game of 501 then will ask yourself way am I play 501!🧐
