😭 I remembered quietly crying my ass off in the bathroom after watching this episode because I don't want my mom to think that I'm crazy and sobbing over a cartoon film. Sometimes I wish I have brain damage and lost memory or stuff so I can experience watching this for the first time again. Good memories
meh, in terms of animation i think Naruto's better, but the story wise Gintoki vs Takasugi is on a whole other level.. the meaning behind the scenes is just heavy af
Interms of animation i prepare gintama which is more classic no super power just a Epic sword fight if you compare it to naruto animation which has so many effect that's just weird . Gintama is one of the anime with good animation compare to other popular anime even its old season has good animation. and yeah the last fight of Naruto and Sasuke it didn't give much hype. it's just like you know what will happen. It's just no more trill. i literary stop in ninja war XD too long because of madara and their fight with Kaguya is literary boring the only good is when Kakashi activate susanoo. also may fav is Gai vs Madara best fight ever
Not only that, but to Gintoki Shoyo was pretty much his father, or the only parental figure he's ever had. It'd be like being forced to kill your own father who you loved more than anything in order to protect your siblings.
What's crazy is that sorachi foreshadowed it from the beginning when Gintoki escapes that prison and was next to the grave of otose she asked what her husband had to say about gintoki stealing his food and Ginroko replied with the dead dont talk in a emotionless voice

The anger of Takasugi is so REAL. This scene is MIND BLOWING. These episode not just have the best fight in Gintama, but also have a mind blowing scene and emotional scene. This is not only the best episode of Gintama, this is one of the best anime episode of all time
I don't think another arc this short has been able to have me in the feels so much. From the very first episode that cliffhanger was so good. Even in a reaction video this managed to make me cry
His backstory didn't completely redeem him though. He became jealous and felt left out so he captured him and thought Shoyo would return to him after his death. His intentions were selfish but he realized his mistake after Utsuro came back instead of Shoyo. He had a sad backstory but nothing compared to the suffering of Gintoki, Takasugi and Katsura which he was the reason of.
His backstory and his intentions were very much unlikable. HOWEVER, what got me was his dying words. Had he been on a better path, he might've just fought alongside the joi four. Of course he knew he was beyond saving at that point, which is why he just accepted death
