Cerdd_Wen making your own patterns is fun! Also pretty easy, there are tons of books out there teaching it. But you can easily start by adjusting patterns, perhaps combining patterns so experiment!

FoxyWhite It's b/c it lacks the balance in shape since the peplum created a higher waistline with a high flare out. So the loose short that also flare out from her more natural waist line make her body look kind of choppy when both pieces are worn together. the solution can come from either more shape hugging short or a fix for a lower waist on the top. But then again, don't take my word for it since I'm more of an artist than I am a tailor ( but my mother was one and I did come from the country of tailors). In the end, it's just a tutorial so you can definitely adjust to your taste.

I just last week transformed a jacket that I bought before christmas that was too oldfashiond. and bought a $3 lether skirt to make lether sleeves :D no it is a modern jacket that allmy friends asked where I bought it
