    FIRST OFF, apologies for the poor sound at the start here. This is a completely new format (as you can tell) and I didn’t get the sound mechanics 100% right on this occasion. Will do better next time.
    The good news is that it does improve from about two minutes in 👍
    Let me know what you think of this new format, and throw ANY QUESTIONS at me down in the comments section right there👇

    Saw this video last week, googled a shop stocking feiyue shoes in German, was thrilled to see that they come in small sizes (I have very tiny feet and hands), ordered a pair of Feiyue Mid-Cut Sneaker, they came yesterday, tried them out - I love them. I really had not been satisfied with my running shoes as they were so inflexible. I felt that the more flexible sneakers I had were not the best suit either. So, I am very grateful for your video. I have seen your reply on the other video where I will go and have a look now.

      great to hear they're a good fit for you, Nina! I think shoes with minimal soles are the way to go, not only for flexibility but also for getting that "feel" for the ground beneath your feet.
      I should reiterate that Fei Yue is really the only brand of this type of shoe that I've tried so far and I'm not married to them as "the best shoe"; I'm sure there are others, but they work really well for me.
      I'm glad they work well for you also, hopefully a boost to your training journey 🚀
      Cheers,

    Great video I use minimalist styled shows myself but I've been considering trying out cheerleading shoes because they would probably handle jumping and movement really well but I'm sure it would end up with me getting some odd looks lol

      hi Garret thanks for reaching out!
      Apologies for the delayed reply here, been super busy at my side lately so I'm responding to comments later than I'd like here.
      Yeah, I'd agree that the minimal sole shoes have been great for me. I've come across cheerleading shoes myself, but honestly... whatever works mate!
      If you can be a super ninja rope master in cheerleading shoes, do it 😄

    Thank you for the video. Do you think getting a low-top instead of a mid-top would make too much of a difference? I just like the low-top more ;)

    • @RopeRage
      @RopeRage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Dilek, glad you found this video useful!
      Low tops should be fine actually, the only difference I’d imagine is less ankle support, so there could be less support when changing directions rapidly, but for jump rope that shouldn’t be a real issue at all.

 Hopefully that helps out.

      Also, apologies for the super delayed reply my personal life has been pretty crazy recently, but I’ll be back with more videos (and big announcements) pretty soon 🔥
      Take care,

    I heard the ones where the Y looks like a V ("Feivue") are from a different factory, and are better (both are official Feiuyes tho). Do you notice any difference?

    • @RopeRage
      @RopeRage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      hey daniel, great comment here. I actually didn't know there were those two types, so this is all news to me. Though I do know that there are MANY ripoff versions out there, to the point that it's now hard to tell which ones are good quality and are not.
      I can say that I've bought probably six pairs in my time, and there is a type that has a label that says "top shoe" or something hidden in the tongue of the shoe - those ones fall apart in a matter of weeks.
      Other than that, I don't really know of any specific differences.
      Cheers,
      - Glen

      @@RopeRage Hi, thanks for replying. I did some research but the more I try to learn about the many versions of Feiyues the more confused I get. Since they are so cheap I decided to risk buying a random pair and fortunately they feel really good on my feet, despite having the normal "Y".

    Hi Rope Rage, what a nice and great video, btw how about someone suffer knee pain/OA like me, when i do double under i will got knee pain, but for basic jump or boxer step its ok.

    • @RopeRage
      @RopeRage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey effendy, thanks for your message and glad your enjoyed this video 👍🏽
      For knee pain doing the double under, I would definitely say work up to doing the double under gradually. And by the way, you can still get lots of the benefits of jump rope training (coordination, leg muscle development, cardio, and more) without doing double unders.
      There are some exercises and techniques that can gradually build to double unders, and in fact, this has given me a great idea for a video, I will work on something in the coming weeks on this for sure. And I'll come back to this comment and let you know when I've uploaded the video 😎
      Other than that, how have you been doing? hope training has been progressing well.
      Cheers,
      - Glen

      I just wanted to jump back here to let you know I was able to put together a video that could help you with knee issues - it was posted on the channel on Sunday so I'm not sure if you were able to see it, but I just want to be certain as I made it with you in mind: th-cam.com/video/qM9zeZOcnR8/w-d-xo.html

      thanks, glad you enjoyed the video. I hear you on that one; audio in this one is quite poor and I considered holding off on the upload, but there was too much valuable info.
      Got a mic a little while after this one, so hopefully that's all sorted going forward.
      Cheers!

      Rope Rage Hi I love your skills awesome skipping!
      Yes really comfortable, especially once warn in, won’t jump in anything else.
      Nice and light, I know you said you didn’t like jumping in running shoes but trust me the sole is perfect, no pain on soles of your feet and last ages really well made no glue coming apart or anything.
      about £35-40 on eBay👍🏻 I now have four pairs lol as I keep some for wearing out and some for skipping..

    • @RopeRage
      @RopeRage  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Much appreciated Bob! I’ve been working at getting people to look at rope training differently, so messages like these are encouraging to keep going 💪🏽
      I love the fact that you said you have the same pairs of shoes but use some pairs for training and others for leisure - this is actually ideal because it means your stride should be quite consistent as you walk 👍🏽 a lot of us do not walk properly (not really our fault - we’re never really taught ‘how to walk’ and the modern way of life-sitting in chairs, etc.-doesn’t help either)
      Thanks again for sending in such a cool message, keep me updated on how your training progresses - I’ll do my best to help out where I can.
      Cheers,
      -Glen

      I never thought about that to be honest🤔 but now you mention it, yes wearing them round the clock must help me with my skipping a lot..
      keep doing what you’re doing love your videos 👍🏻 learnt all I know from you and also rush athletics.
      Skipping is such a great exercise, and you’re spreading the message, just wish I picked up the rope sooner..
      Quick question do you still teach classes?
      I remember seeing one of your videos where you were coaching a group, would love to get involved.

    • @RopeRage
      @RopeRage  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hey Bob, I appreciate the props there!
      It is a great exercise-the versatility of it and the excitement/engagement I feel during my training is practically irreplaceable.
      I did take a bit of a hiatus from teaching classes over the winter, but this summer we're back at it. I actually have a collaboratory session scheduled for May 26th in South London-I'll be teaming up with another trainer, and we'll be doing rope training as well as some cool reaction drills and coordination work.
      Details for workshops and suchlike go out on Instagram first, so if you're not already, I'd recommend checking out the page when you get the chance: instagram.com/rope_rage/.
      Nice one,
