- I am opening a hobby box of 2004-05 Upper Deck SP Authentic Basketball for our next throwback sports card pack break! I wanted to open some older boxes to chase some big cards from the past, and this one was first on my list! These boxes currently resell in the $1,500 range and come with 2 autographs (1 rookie) and 1 game-used relic/jersey card in every box. These boxes come with chances at pulling autographs of NBA legends/superstars (Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James), multi-signed cards (dual, triple, quadruple), 1/1 cards (Exquisite Endorsements & Rarefied Rookies), Dwight Howard rookies, and more! The cards I'm chasing the most are the multi-signed cards featuring Jordan, LeBron, & Kobe! You can get these boxes from your local sports card hobby shops and online retailers/sellers. This clown hit a big al auto and he's happy about it. What a fucking bird. Card is on ebay with a $6 obo price tag. He got reckt.

I wish they still took the time and effort to tell you when and where the part of the Jersey was worn. Such a nice touch and feels so much more special.
This brings back so much memories. UD SP is one of the top products back then. One of my favorite products back then, others are Bowman sterling, and Topps gold label.
this was my last pack before quiting the hobby back in 2004.17 years later i found a pack of these in a local store and pulled a Andres Nocioni auto....and i am back 😂

This brought me back. I remember saving up my allowance for SP Authentic and SPx when I was a kid. They charged a whopping $8 per pack at my LCS. PLEASE keep doing openings from this era. Thanks for the nostalgia 🤜🏻🤛🏻

I used to open a lot of upper deck basketball during that era. Bought a case of 05-06 SP-game used and hit a dual Jordan/LeBron dual auto /25. Sold it for $1500 a few months later. Now a graded one went for high five figures. Upper Deck basketball back then was a great product. The points cards were included to keep the pack size consistent since people could tell which packs had hits and which ones didn’t.

Love this. Took me back to when I was in high school collecting! Would love to see 98 or 99 football. 2003 basketball obviously, anything baseball from 98 on.
Really enjoyed this opening! I like the look of the cards. The base cards just show how many good players there were in that era!

Some Mid 2000s UD glass was my favorite as a kid. 03-04 and 04-05. It was a fun and unique product.

fun fact: Al Jefferson was one of the last players drafted straight out of high school (2004). The final year was 2005 before it got banned. Nice box opening.

Great video man. I busted heaps sp and Spx for no more than $100. It's crazy how things change. It felt so uncool to be collecting cardboard. Now everyone is into it. I never seen this boom coming.
I remember opening these. If I remember correctly it’s $50 per box. Bought my boxes from Blowout and DA. Try to look for 2009-10 SP Game used boxes. $130-140/box but they were loaded. 1 auto, 2 relics per pack. Best boxes ever. Pulled an MJ auto and several MJ, Kobe, Lebron relics that I still keep for my PC.

Love breaking old stuff. Lucky enough to have a local guy who used to own a shop and still has tons of junk wax boxes for cheap. I buy a couple '91 Upper Deck and '89 Donruss baseball from time to time to rip with my kids. It's so fun. More like this would be cool. Try and get your hands on some legit grail stuff ('80 Basketball, '84 Topps Football, or stuff like that :) ).
I look forward to a new video pretty much daily. Nowhere else I would like to watch a brand-new sneak peak of products. Love the versatility on your channel man.

Dang..that was whew!! but the ceiling is so high. Exciting rip nevertheless. I wouldn't rip that but if you can get your hands on some 95-98 products that was innovation at its finest. The inserts were some of the best of any era.
