    I am a 74 year old female 2020 Gladiator owner. Mine came with the floppy fold up cover which someone knifed in the parking lot. So, I bought the Flex Trifold, used only one week, that came with NO installation directions. Your wonderfully happy video allowed me to explain it to my neighbor as he took off the old cover and installed the new "old" one. We had zero problems ! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this for us old people that still want to do stuff ourselves!

    Thanks for the video. I just picked mine UC ultra tonneau cover up this week and ready to install this morning. I jumped on here one last time to see if anyone had a vid for the Gladdys, awesome, I appreciate the need to knows. Hopefully it will go much easier. Thanks for taking the time to make this video and the bloopers at the end, HAHA 2 thumbs up. FYI: the lights are there so you don't run down the aux battery. We camp with a tent in/over the bed, great so we always know where the light is at.

      I’ve been meaning to make a two year review update as I’ve had a couple issues with rust and breaking parts. I’m still trying to reach out to the company first to see if they resolve the issues.

      @@SeanOzz the lights no longer come with the kit. I ordered through 4WP, their website says it come with, but after a phone call and short bs convo and they called real truck, there were too many issues with the lights, so they discontinued them. Please do an update, it would really be helpful so to watch for issues. Thanks again!

      It’s different than my normal material but when I searched for this cover for a review or install for the jeep there wasn’t One out there so figured maybe if I made one it might help others decide. So happy to hear it helped with the install. That light install had us stumped for a minute until we found the removable plate. Ha ha.

    Man thanks for this vid. I bought one of these for my Mojave and as an afterthought (Dooh!) checked into the install instructions. You are right...they suck so I called and talked to tech support. Another suck. I was getting worried but now after your video I'm chill about it. I have the trail rail setup on mine so I'll have to remove the front bar but hoping I can install it back over those forward mounts. Again thanks for posting this!!

    Have something like that on my truck only thing I don’t like if you put something tall by the tailgate and just want to keep the first section open I wish they had something to clip that section down so the wind didn’t catch it. Mine only has clips in the very front if you roll it all back

    • @SeanOzz
      @SeanOzz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine stays locked down on the second section unless you pull the cable to release it.

    • @sxsmarine4075
      @sxsmarine4075 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So does mine but if you open the first section up and have something tall next to the tailgate the wind will catch it and try to close it

    So you traded in the blue FJ or was that your girlfriends car?

    • @SeanOzz
      @SeanOzz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I traded it in. I do miss it but it was time. Needed quite a bit of work and was becoming unreliable.

    • @SW-Video
      @SW-Video 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@SeanOzz : I understand. Even good vehicles like that will wear out over time and where you live you need reliability. Did you happen to ask Captain Drone (Steve) about his Gladiator and how he liked his? Being a Jeep and drone/photog guy I love how Jeeps (and FJ's) can get us to some really great places to shoot footage. The Gladiator is nice but not the best for towing a travel trailer. Something smaller like a teardrop would be good. I'm mildly surprised you didn't go with a newer 4Runner. My daily is an 01 4R. I'll probably be driving it 20 years from now if I'm still around (doubtful). :)

    • @SeanOzz
      @SeanOzz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I looked into the Tacoma and the 4 runner. No dealers had any in stock to even test drive so I went over to jeep and they had this. I also considered the Ford bronco but also non in stock. I assume within 5 years I'll be trading this in for a cyber truck. Ha ha ha

    • @SW-Video
      @SW-Video 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SeanOzz : Ya know; if they can keep the price affordable on that Tesla Cyber Truck and get some serious distance out of the battery tech at some point; a lot of people will be jumping on that bandwagon. I think it's still 10-20 years out from being truly viable but it will be cool. So much easier to maintain. Just a few moving parts and no fluid changes other than maybe brake fluid and that is not often. If you can afford one as a second vehicle in 5 years as a local runners you could be one of the off-road e-truck pioneers.

    I have one of those also for my Jeep Gladiator, but I can't recommend Undercover at all: Poorly designed & made, incorrect "instructions," and even missing critical gaskets -- POOR QC (if any!) @ Undercover. WAY too many shortcomings/issues with it.
    For $1K I expected WAY more...
    It will have to do for now though, but in due time will replace it with a Renegade cover -- 3X the cost, yes, but one of the best/most secure covers you can get and will last the life of my Jeep...not sure how long my poorly-fitting Undercover will last. I saw one Y-T video where the guy had even worse issues than I did.
    BTW, could NEVER get the LED light to attach to the rail no matter how many times I tried, so I can't use it -- ANOTHER poor design issue.
    Good luck with yours,
    -- BR

    • @SeanOzz
      @SeanOzz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will have to strongly disagree. Mine fits perfectly. And I show that the light goes in super easy after you remove the cap. We tried forever also till we discovered the cap removes.
      The fit is so perfect. I researched for weeks and weeks on so many other covers, from soft, to more trifold, to some crazy thick and more expensive ones and the undercover ultra flex won out over so many that is why I went with it. 100 times over the Mopar.
      Sounds like you got a defective one which totally sucks. Especially for the price.
      Check out my section showing the led light install and you will see how easy it goes in after removing that cap that prevents it.
