Here is an explanation for the sword: so when boat pressed q it de-renders the hot bar sprite first but he switched the command from drop sword to drop bucket it still had the sword sprite removed and did the bucket operation making the sword in the inventory and out and when he interacted with it the sprite popped up again

So, depending on the side of the portal they enter, they'll go to either the portal underground, or the portal(s) in/around the monument. No, adding more portals did not help matters.
That intro sequence is bumpin' (cut to Markiplier dancing to the music for a good 2 minutes) what an amazing edit Speaking of edits: that portal bit killed me!
