Why did they say shawn crawfords 9.88 was the fastest 100m time ran in the united States? Even way back in 2004 that wasnt true. Donavan Bailey had ran 9.84 in Atlanta at the Olympics. Last i checked that was in the united states.

That was an error by Carol Lewis. She meant for THAT YEAR/Season Shawn’s 100m time was the fastest of the year (so far) not ever. Hope that helps
