Angelina, great simple idea. I thought that something else you did would be look cool with this. I think the single thread embroidery (I think that's what you called it) would look at home on this skirt.

Bet ou could use the cut off leg to create a little ruffle to add a little length. Or, you could remove the flat fells off the discarded leg to finish the edges on the short skirt to give it that "finished" look.

This cracks me up, these big fashion designers think those skirts are something new. We were making those back in the 70s. And adding pieces to the jeans to flare the legs out. She has such cute ideas for redesigning clothes.

I like the design super simple and clever. It would be dope if you took the long side and folded end to waist and sew into a mid length skirt with a pouch on the side!
I've been making a scrappy patchwork style crop top for my sister. She's not a big jeans wearer but she wanted a suit all denim like Cardi B. I seen your first video with the jacket and that was epic. But I think I'm gonna swap out the jeans for the denim skirt for the jeans in the outfit. She's not tall and slender like Cardi B so it may not look good, but she's got gorgeous legs and heels would make it pop on her body. She's the perfect hourglass.
I saw this skirt on highlowluxxe and I was sold. I had a pair of culottes which wouldn’t fit and immediately got the idea to turn it into this skirt. I turned it into a skirt but I ended up not cutting it as I loved it as a midi skirt too. Great video❤️❤️
So I " tried " to make the Alexander Wang skirt made the skirt tight and when I bent down it made a tear in the front 😂😂😂 so I guess its aa unique as me a total Mess sewing. Yet I learned from my mistake.So off to the thrift store tomorrow to pick up another pair of jeans. Thank you . When I have the courage will post it on my ig lol
You'll be able to make the short side longer if the middle is longer, so you'll either need to make this with a high waist pair of jeans and/or add a triangle of fabric in the middle then cut it at your desired length. 👍🏾
I have 2 pairs of identical stretchy jeans that have worn at the crotch. (I bought both because I love the gorgeous indigo colour, and I knew they wouldn't last long, being thin and stretchy.) I'm going to try and use the one with less wear and tear as the main piece and use the completely ripped pair for the triangle. I'm so short that the only way for me to have a long denim skirt that doesn't drag on the floor is to get my sewing machine out!
Have you ever tried adding a denim ruffle? Because YEAH that short side is suUper short, BUT, i saw a detail in my minds eye that might "elevate" the look?
