The design is really cute. I would add invisible clear buttons on the inside where the split is for me. Nice job! More ideas for me to use my old jeans!
I do hear you about denim! I have boxes of old denim. Seems in-American to discard denim. Best for face masks. Pieces make great bags and backpacks or additions to other items. Took up flat felled seams as coasters.

I felt it on the "no hip" comment. Lots of junk in the trunk and nothing on the fenders. And each side of your body may be a little different; so when I do alterations, I have the client try on the garment when it is right side out; pin the shape, then chalk mark the pins on the inside. Voila - each seam line tailored for each side of the body.
Can I say that I'm loving the 2 videos a week. I get so excited when your videos pop up in my feed. This was such a cute and relatively easy upcycle. I love the vintage buttons. I'm such a fan of wrap skirts. Another awesome project.

Selina April I was lost with the different pieces, inside out, taking it off and on BUT I get the concept. If I use 2 pairs of jeans, cut off the part above the crotch, open the inside leg seams, then line up the outside leg seams on my legs, I can visually figure out what goes where and start pinning.

Love your work and it's been helping me figure out how to upcycle denim I've hoarded over the years. Have you ever done denim disguised as office pants or slacks? A pet peeve of mine at jobs is dress codes that demand we wear thin fabric office pants, often black, e.g. retail and grocery places that require stocking shelves. I'm a big thigh plus size and wear through them within 2 months, while struggling to find ones that fit. These jobs usually don't pay enough to regularly replace those at my size so I resorted to wearing tunic shirts over black Jeans to hide the pockets cause denim can last a year of regular wear and still be upcycled.

Hook and eye can help keep it closed, almost invisable to the eye if you stitch with thread that matches. Nice job on this one.

Some charities donate sewing machines to individuals. Check online 4 free sewing machines in ur state.
