Thanks Charlie. The more I weld the better I get. I think 😎. Thanks for watching.

Excellent job excellent explanation I can tell once you finish with this bird. You would get another one who knows maybe 1 day you will have more than me. Keep the great work up brother

Thank you. I’ll never have as many as you, but I wouldn’t be opposed to trying another one after this. Thanks for watching.

Thank you. Almost to meticulous sometimes, just don’t want to miss anything or have to tear it back apart. Thank you for watching.

Love your vids. I’m hoping I can build your orange brackets to line mine up. Thanks for the measurements. I think a bunch of us will use this info. Welds are coming along great. I’m ready for the next stage. Thanks

Thank you. I try to catch as much detail and hope the jig measurements can help others as they did with our project. Thanks for the comment and for watching.👍

Nice detail Jim. I have a question about the dash bracket that you identified at 20.11 in the video. I had documented the location of the bracket as welded to the inner cowl years ago, but I had a computer failure that held a lot of disassembly documentation and not sure if I copied the photos and text to an alternate location for safe keeping. Do you have the specific spot identified?

I did not have a specific spot, but I took some measurements and here it is what I came up with. From the center of the speaker bracket located in the center of your lower cowl, I have 5-1/8” to the far right side of the dash support bracket, and I have 1-1/4” from inside crease just above speaker bracket to the top of the dash support bracket. The top speaker bracket and the top dash support bracket are almost level with each other. I don’t think it’s super critical if you’re off a little bit. Hope this helps Charlie.✌️

With all of the people that could use your jigs for Firebirds and possibly Camaros, you could almost sell the jigs pre-made to finance your rebuild.

My jigs are pretty primitive, just some metal I slapped together quick. Maybe when I get done with the build I’ll make them for whoever needs them. For now hopefully people can make their own to help their build along. Thanks for the comment and for watching.👍
