Facts!! And it’s funny because other guys who were definitely great scorers and known to be scorers were averaging less than Bron every year!
@@gregharper6382 Lebron average exactly the same as KD, Lebron 27.2 and KD 27.3 on similar efficiency but Lebron isn’t a scorer and KD is the greatest scorer of all time 😂 It’s crazy how narrative can brainwash people’s mind, only MJ, Wilt, Iverson, Elgin Baylor and KD have a higher career average ppg, Lebron average more than Kobe (25), Harden (24.8), Curry (24.5) and many more « pure » scorers like Karl Malone, Bird, Dirk, Melo, Embiid ect but he isn’t a scorer lol what a joke.
This was about being the all time leading scorer not about anything else
These guy can never have a segment to just praise the guy for once without critic 😂 you seriously arguing about a 38 year old in Year 20 who is balling BTW averaging almost 30.2 ppg 8.5RB and 7.1 Ast and Averaging 36.5MPG oh and who is literally dragging the whole lakers taking 1 game off to rest 💀 this just shows how great lebron is
Lakers have the 26th best record in the league
This is the most parity ever in the NBA most teams are a 3 or 4 game win streak from being a top 3 or 4 seed. The Lakers are the scariest team currently not a top 6 seed. Imagine fighting all year for the 1 seed and facing LeBron in round 1 with healthy AD.
@@nydibs doesn't mean LeBron needs to play every game 💀every one of these analyst are literally the embodiment of Envy 🤣imagine getting mad at a player a pro athlete for sitting out a game💀💀💀
They aren't there to be Lebron's cheerleaders. They praised him but critically critiqued him. Nothing wrong with that.
Literally!!
I'm dead,😜 he asked for the healthy back and still chose LeBron. Hoodie Hustlin'
That was great 😄
The Bulls were favored in all 6 of their Finals appearances, LeBrons team was favored in 3 out of his 8 appearances. And he won two them.
Thank you! No one ever brings that up.
@You've got a point there
Of course they don't. Hating LeBron is full time job and the facts don't matter. He's 4-10 and ten in the NBA Finals and people actually think that's an insult. You know who would love to be 4-10 in the Finals? Barkley, Malone, Ewing, Stockton, Nash, Iverson, Harden, CP, Dominique, Westbrook and 100 other first ballot hall of farmers who don't have one ring much less four.
They were not…
This guy mad dog really said Larry is over Lebron I’m done😂😂
Can you imagine that nonsense? What metric can you use to say that Larry Bird is better than him?
Facts, Lebron will drop 50 on Larry
This goes to show you that these "analyst" are just regular people who knowledge only stretches as far as the hate will let them 💀
Larry is tougher mentally than LeBron . I’ll give him that
@@henry7765 💀
Save this to y'all Playlist, cus in 5 years Smith gonna be saying he never said this stuff

*LeBron is a couple games away from scoring the most points in NBA history*
ESPN: “Is LeBron an all time great scorer?”
Lmao couldn’t have said it better
You know the definition of a "scorer" in the sense of basketball?
@@TheMastermindzTV he’s 5th in ppg. Bron will retire as a top 2 scorer ever at minimum
@@carterbilbro4615 Hahahaha. Yeah, you don't know what a scorer is. Kareem was number 1 in points for like 35 years and nobody ever ever called him a scorer, nor Karl Malone. Durant is a scorer, LeBron's game is facilitation, and always will me. Sorry that it hurts your feelings. 🤷🏽♂️
@@TheMastermindzTV I get what you sayin but brons a facilitator AND a scorer, jus because he’s great at both shouldnt mean one takes away from the other. Kds career and bron career avr are literally identical in points. 27.2 and 27.3 a game
Lebron doesnt go out there trying to score a lot of points every night. However, if you told a player I need you to score 40 or 50 points tonight, there arent 5 guys im taking over Lebron all time to accomplish that task. One of the greatest scorers ever no doubt
KD, Steph, Jordan, Dame are the main names that comes to mind before I’d take Bron
@@sirnightingale608 dame will get you more 40 to 50 points consistently than Lebron? So why does Lebron have more 40 or 50 point games than dame during the same time? (I’m not even talking in the entire career because Lebron has played more games. Just in the time Dame came in the league). Same question is for Steph. I don’t know why these statements are made. He even have more 40 point games than KD.
@@sirnightingale608 no way. Only Jordan and that’s a maybe.
@@sirnightingale608 Jordan and wilt chamberlain the only two I think comparable
@@kentayali I agree. I don't think I would even depend on Shaq and Kobe for that. They would come up with 35 or 37 points on any given night no problem. But if you want a guy to go and score 50, right now, give the ball to Jordan, wilt, or lebron. Tell them to do nothing but score, don't pass, don't rebound, don't defend, and they will drop 50 maybe even 60, casually
Bird had TWO 8 points back to back game Mad dog. LMAO
If anybody else won that chip in the bubble they would be praising them
People love to add asterisks to lebrons career but why not to his finals loses? He carried a bunch of bums in 07, then again in 2015 without love and Kyrie, and then he got over powered by the durant warriors. Is that his fault? Swap MJ into those scenarios, would the result have been any different? These debates are just idiotic.
Stupidity at it's finest
The only finals that you could argue would be the Mavs series, but even that's debatable because outside of Wade, Bosh, and LeBron that Heat roster was sad. Those Mavericks were the deepest team in the playoffs that year and swept Kobe's Lakers who were coming off of a championship run.
@@youvegotapointthere4359 thank you no one ever gives that Mavs team credit, plus Bron wasn’t even bad that series he just underperformed but that was all in credit to the Mavs defense.
@@youvegotapointthere4359 deep teams are never given credit when they win a title because they don’t have enough “marketable stars”. But the Celtics big three win one title in 08 and they are legends forever.
@@edisongao9528 I agree. To this day, that Celtics team is talked about like they were a dynasty. It's hilarious because Garnett and Pierce only have 1 ring each while Ray and Rondo have 2 rings each because they both joined LeBron later in their careers.

20 year veteran can/should take a game off
This was the most disrespectful segment first take has ever done. This man is about to become the #1 all time scorer and they bashing him…… I feel even worse cause Stephen a let these two old white men do it to and he ain’t say nothing !!!!! SMFHHHHHHH
Nothing. Smh
@@barryeugenejr4977 it was insane man…. SMH

How was it disrespectful. They talked about how great Lebron was. Does it really matter if you have him top 5 or top 6. People are too sensitive
This segment went just as I expected it to go when I saw the lineup.
Mad dog was so proud of himself for that Kawhi line 5:45
It was a great point
Stephen A done turned First Take into a senior home. Bro look just as old as the people he brings in to debate
😂😂😂
The man for his career averages 27 points his CAREER !!!!! How could you look at him any other way other than an all time great scorer of the basketball
Only 4 players are ahead of him all time in career ppg. KD is in year 16. The other 3 didn’t play more than 15 seasons. Lebron is something else.
How can you not be a great scorer and pass the all time leading scorer???? Can’t say longevity because that’s how Kareem got it as well anddddd it’s the only way to break the record at this point lol
People say longevity as if it is a negative thing. Lebron’s scoring average for his career is 27 ppg after 20 seasons. MJ’s career scoring average was 32 ppg when he retired with Chicago. Those two Wizards season dropped his scoring average 2 whole points down to 30 ppg. Imagine if MJ played 20 seasons, how far his scoring average would have fallen.
ESPN needs to hire more young analysts 😂 These folks said “the soon to be all time scorer” is not one of the all time great scores 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is the stupidest segment in First take history
I second this
The fact that we’re even debating this is sad. Yes. He’s up there with all of the other greats.
He’s Litterly gonna break the record and this is a debate
If the Heat would've won in the bubble ppl would be praising Jimmy Butler
Let talk about bird the man avg 15 points in his first final on 41% maxwell won that Fmvp that was in 1981, his avg from the season dropped in the playoff in 82,83 and lost each yrs with 63 and 54 wins both regular season, 84 great post season they win, 85 PPg, reb,ast dropped again in the final and they lost but won 63 games that season, 86 best yrs they won again. in 87 great playoffs run but again PPg, Reb, ast dropped in the final and they lost. in 88 shots 40-114 that 35% against the piston and guess what they lost and 89 get injured in 90,91,92 nothing happened. Don't let some of these old head make you believe great players in the past didn't came small when it counted!

The 2016-17 Cavs were 0-8 when Lebron sat games despite Kyrie and Love playing. Lebron is so underrated.
Please have Mike Francesa on more. Him and Mad Dog know the history of their sports. Not just 1992 and on.
This is great analysis….I love it
i thought this was supposed be a debate show. But when it comes to LeBron its most of the time 2-3 people hating on him and no debate. This is a joke
Nick Wright or Shannon Sharpe would murder any of them on a LeBron subject.
I would say he’s a great scorer because he’s a reliable scorer. He makes good decisions and plays to the high % shots. He was able to adapt his play to keep being a reliable scorer. Tim Duncan and Kareem were sort in the same model of scoring. I think people tend to dismiss LeBron as a great scorer is because he didn’t shoot in a flashy way like Kobe or skywalk consistently like Jordan.
This
I’m not a Lebron fan but he’s a great player and this is an amazing feat
Stephen A.... Jordan took those 2 year breaks that LBJ did not. I think that's what Stephen A doesn't get (09:23)
This segment was a JOKE. I genuinely hope LeBron doesn’t even acknowledge Stephen A Smith at this point. This was a complete JOKE!!! Men lie, women lie, numbers don’t. All they can do is commentate on the game, but have idea what it really take as a professional athlete. I rather hear a actual players talk trash on the boy but not these dudes.
I honestly believe that’s why SAS doesn’t like LeBron. He was tight with MJ, Kobe, AI, Wade, and Melo. Notice he never crushed any of those guys. LeBron never kissed the ring. Good for him.
I like how they still found a way to throw shade. It’s crazy to nitpick and be negative about him at this point.
@6:44 MadDog almost ripped one lmaooo
What kind of question is thus when this man is about to be #1 in points in the next week
How did we make steph breaking the 3pt record front page news but completely downplay lebron becoming the all time leader in points in nba history(which is the most renowned statistic ever)
Because it’s not the most renowned, were did you get that idea? That record is based on longevity and 90% of players don’t play 20 years

As a Yankee fan and someone who grew up watching Mike and Mad Dog on WFAN and YESNetwork. This is cool to see Francesa on ESPN with Christopher Russo. Since Mad Dog is on MLB Network High Heat and hrs been on ESPN First Take with Stephen A for a while.
There was reports that Mike and Chris were going to bring back Mike and Mad Dog again since the show split. Chris left originally, and Mike took over the show. Then Mike left after a decade with the show by himself and went on to podcasting.
I met Chris many years ago at Javits Crnter in NY when he was hosting a show on SiriusXM Radio when the convention was hosting the NY International Auto Show and got a photo meet with him. He is the nicest person I have met.
ESPN gotta bring Mike Francesa more often on First Take with Chris and Stephen A.
Ain't no way you watched that segment and thought that this was good
You literally couldn't pay these guys to stay on topic. Started talking about sitting out, the bubble, his finals roster, ect. Just 3-4 mins into the conversation. These guys are professionals? Lol I thought the topic was his scoring?
SAS spot on. Speaking facts about 2016
Is more difficult to play like Lebron than anyone
The supply chain of greatness just keeps on going!

Averaging over 30 in year 20: is Lebron a great scorer?!?
I'm lost what was the question?
Thank goodness for non biased opinions
The bubble was probably some of the hardest NBA ball with no crowd average players playing amazing
Spent the entire segment criticizing his past and not on him breaking the record . You can tell they shame and never thought he could do it ! And it hurts their childhood hero Jordan argument
Mike & the Mad Dog reunion?!!
It’s funny how all 3 praise LBJ, then criticize. Imo, LBJ is all time great, but he’s very fortunate to be 4-8 in the finals.
Devolved into “who can discredit LeBron the most” lmao sad to see
How anyone can even put Larry Bird in the same breath as Lebron it astounds me. Not even close between the two.
Every NBA player, "The bubble was the hardest environment to play in"
Every old white NBA analyst, "The bubble doesn't count cause it was easy"
We need an hour of these 3 talkin about sports.
This is a perfect example of "Old Man Yells At Cloud"
Wilt stands alone most dominant player rules put in to slow him down. Rule changes today help players that didn’t happen with Chamberlin.
Over the past several years he totally stopped wanting to shoot the ball. Now all of a sudden he's going on scoring rampages, shooting more 3's, and attacking the basket more. This record is all that's driving him now.
