Great tutorial, thanks. If you phase the repeats off center you will get the major and minor grooves and have a more accurate cartoon.

Great suggestion. The phase varies in the Nature graphical abstracts between articles www.nature.com/articles/nrc3916 The good thing about drawing figures by yourself is that you can adjust it according to your findings.

Thank you so much for your videos! I am a Ph.D. student and I really would love to become a scientific illustrator! I was wondering if there is a chance to draw a DNA strand with a more " spheroidal" backbone, instead of a ribbon-like backbone?
Hope I was clear enough to explain what I mean.
By the way, great job! Your tips and tutorials are s helpful!!
Thank you so much in advance!

Hi Upalabdha, quadruplex DNA is a very interesting topic! Do you mean something like this in the paper? www.nature.com/articles/nrm.2017.3
There are currently many tutorial requests. If you need an urgent help, you can check out the DrawBioMed Helpline on Patreon. Here is the video explaining how it works th-cam.com/video/f63YmHflr58/w-d-xo.html
