    I’m so glad you took the time to talk about the first trimester and eating whatever feels good! I had to do the same thing when I was pregnant. The 2nd trimester i was back to myself but when you are sick, it feels like it will never end!

      Yesss I feel like it's not talked about enough, and you really don't need any more guilt when you are in the thick of it! Nutrition during pregnancy is really important, but when you're sick you just gotta get down whatever you can!

    Loved this one Becca. :) I’d love to see a video where you chat over the benefits of specific Whole Foods versus their more convenient counterparts. For example, you’re eating a big bowl of plain greens. My first thought was why not use a high quality greens powder and add to a smoothie? So, understanding the benefits or the disadvantages of the earlier would be awesome.

    Hi Becca, Love this video. We also eat breakfast for dinner at least ones a week. I don't really use too much oil when cooking the eggs and the potatoes, especially at night before bed time.

    We love grand view farms! They are about 10 mins from us. They are always kind and willing to answer any questions. And a major mom help that they deliver.

    I am 13 weeks pregnant and love your advice. I’ve been so miserable this pregnancy (it’s my second… my first was nothing like this). I can’t eat anything without throwing up or being nauseous all day.

    I LOVE how Hayden popped up when you were grating cheese. My 3-year-old does exactly the same, she cannot resist freshly grated cheese 🥰

    I love this! We live in a rural area and just got a 1/2 cow from our neighbor, they are friends of ours. Also Eggs, honey, lamb! All the food looks so delicious. God bless you and your pregnancy🙌🙏😇
    Random but how do you feel about nuts?! Some people say they need to be soaked because the anti nutrients I believe/mineral and vitamin adsorption? I have went back and fourth with different nuts. I love them regardless haha

    Loved the video. :) A bacon hack I've used for many years is to cook bacon in the oven! I lay out the slices on a sheet of parchment paper and bake at 350 for 30-50 minutes (depending on thickness) and it comes out amazing everytime! When I take it out of the oven, I put the bacon on plate with paper towels to de-grease it a bit. And then once the grease cools on the pan, it becomes solid and I can just throw away the sheet of parchment paper! It's my favorite way to cook (and eat) bacon - with no mess!

    Such a great and realistic diet! I’m so happy to find someone that isn’t vegan lol! I also was in survival mode in my first trimester and now I’m happy to finally eat tons of great quality, clean foods again 😋

    I'm pregnant with my third right now as well and going through the first trimester yuckiness. I can't stomach much aside from very bland carb heavy foods 😭 can't wait for second trimester 😂 thank you for this video, lots of great advice!

    Thanks for the tip about the potatoes. I always salt my hash browns when I put them in the pan out of habit and they take forever to brown.

    Thank you for this message, I am 8 weeks pregnant & I always get so down on myself for not eating the best in the first trimester! I usually eat pretty healthy but when I am pregnant, I get so many food aversions & don’t like preparing food! I thought I was the only one!

My husband and I waited a loooong time (I’m 40) so we want to do everything right and a lot of the times he makes me feel guilty for not opting for salad and fish it’s just not what my body wants. I played this video LOUD so he could hear it from a nutritionist. Lol!

      We are still going to redo the kitchen :) Just had to basically go back to square one and totally rethink the design/reno. We will still be using it and man I can't wait for that day!!

    Was that oil in the pan when you cooked the scrambled eggs? or bacon fat?
    I am OBSESSED with my cast iron pans, don't use anything else - but the only thing that sticks in them is scrambled eggs so I always avoid making them. Would love to know if you know how to get around this (I've watched your cast iron pan video already) - is oil the trick?? Thanks :)

      In my experience, it’s the preheating that makes a huge difference! You don’t necessarily have to preheat your cast iron to a super high temperature, it’s more a matter of preheating it for long enough! I typically let mine heat up for maybe 5ish mins to low-medium temp, then add a bit of oil and let that go for a minute or two longer. Also, for eggs specifically, don’t try to scramble/flip them too early! If it’s not coming up from the pan easily, it’s not ready yet :)

      Yes it was bacon fat! And agreed with Allison - great tips! Making sure the pan is preheated before adding the eggs, using enough fat, and not stirring too much are the keys!

    What about "on the go" snacks? With pregnancy pregnancy toddlers I feel like someone is always hungry whenever we are out. How do you prepare ahead?

    Great video! I always just survived during the first trimester too. I was so nauseous. I probably should’ve been put on medicine for it but I survived on bagels, Mac and cheese and pasta. Carbs and more carbs. Lol take care!

    Hi Becca! Long time follower here. I'd love it if you could do a "What I Eat In A Day" video on an "off" day.
    At this point, all your food videos are following a solid pattern for breakfast (Dutch babies, eggs, or oatmeal), lunch (leftovers, a salad, sometimes eggs) and dinner (crockpot things, maybe a sourdough pizza).
    I'd love it if you could share a day where you weren't eating "perfectly". I know in your videos you say all foods fit and first trimester is survival mode, but we never actually get to see the side of you that eats...junk? Haha.
    One of my favorite videos to this day is from a few years back where you (and Matt) took us to Chipotle. That one and your miscarriage video, but for completely different reasons. I love anytime we get a look into the authentic and raw you. 😊

    As an RD, would you ever make a video of what to eat with Crohns Disease or IBS in general (to get a wider audience haha) I am almost traumatized by food making me sick!!

      That's kinda tough because everyone is so individualized when it comes to which foods trigger them - I can totally understand being paranoid of food because it's a major process to tease out what can cause flare ups (esp for crohn's/UC). IBS is more often that not actually tied to stress, and not so much specific foods!

    First off, I was just wondering..do you usually fry everything in oil? It scares me so much to pour oil in a pan like that.
    Video idea: more FDOE, names you like but won't be using, sleep training your babies or how you solidify a nap schedule/day
