Princess Louise also had terrific talent as a sculptor. The statue of her Mother, Queen Victoria, at Kensington Gardens is representative of her better work.
I never knew any of this and she had a house in my Village that I learned of fairly recently. No one talks about her even though she has a hall named after her that as kids we all used.
I think Victoria was jealous Of worries because she was pretty she was clever She was talented Victoria was Self absorbed she didn't Self absorbed she didn't Appreciate her daughter for who she was
@@stephenmeier4658 There are multiple sources, witnesses, letters ...including Victoria's own words. She liked to write detailed thoughts in her diaries since the age of 13. She was not a great mother, part of it is how parenting was at the time. Part of it is Victoria's personality. Forcing all her kids to wear Black for years after Albert died, guilt tripping them not to get married, using her girls as an emotional crutch, not allowing Louise a coming out ball (not a big deal in our day, but massive back then and cruel). After Albert died Queen Victoria was a mess.
@@feyrol42 Victoria had many, many good qualities too that are not acknowledged any longer because it's the fashion now to only highlight the negative aspects of historical figures. She wasn't a loving and maternal woman but she did love her children and wanted the best for them.

The prettiest of all the daughters. Svelte and trim. Ahead of her time. Never had children.
