Maybe you can make a plastic housing to fit around the differential so you can run it in oil or grease so it lasts a long time. Thank you for sharing with us. Great Project.
It requires aluminium housing to be oil dip.

Use gear system to increase speed nice project
You could (probably) make a "housing" for the differential out of a plunger. Yes, the "toilet's stuck!" things. A rubber one might fit, and a hard plastic & corrugated plunger will definitely fit, but rubber would be more durable.
I'd do it. I've used many plumbing bits on my car!
( really, my daily driver has a pipe fitting on the exhaust to help the computer, pipe hangers mounting motorcycle mirrors to the fenders, and maybe more :p )
Maybe he can just lub it with gear oil as we do with our bike's chain everyday, since the power this diferential is working now is much smaller...
@@emanuelgoncalvessantos4499 the point of the plunger isn't just keeping grease in, but more to keep dirt out.
I was imagining an aluminum foil covering, then fiberglass over the differential to make it removable. Or a CV joint boot? Or two part epoxy to keep moisture and dirt out. This is very inspiring!
I actually stole this idea. Years ago, at Grassroots Motorsport's Battle of Lemons, (2003?) there was a Geo Metro using a GSR1000R engine driving the factory (Geo) differential and axles on homemade mounts. The ring gear replaced with a sprocket, so it was chain drive, and the differential was sealed with a plunger.

When he made those circles I knew this man what is a builder.
He should have used a rear differential like that he could get different gear ratios and just mount the sprocket on the yolk and you’re good you got brakes different gear ratios and lubricated bearings.

perfetto come idea , solamente essendo troppo semplice verrebbe boicottata da tutti i costruttori e relative associazioni oltre alle barriere burocratiche che con mille cavilli non darebbero l'omologazione del veicolo , migliorato con alcuni particolari elettronici e meccanici che aumentano efficienza e sicurezza , sarebbe un progetto di retrofit interessante e sicuramente fattibile

Front well drive no differenceal only Rear well drive.
I would go a step further with the robothut comments, try to make ahard pvc mould to the differential and motor sprocket for better life, and avoid dust and friction using grease or oil

Pretty cool! I don't understand the reason for the driving both wheels. Driving both wheels would put more load on the motor and reduce the distance on a single charge. Why not drive one shaft only? Less drag/torque will increase top speed.

I would think a second motor and controller for the other shaft would be a much simpler mechanical solution. Electrical motors can be pretty balanced while allowing the slight variations changes in direction requires.The additional power would be a bonus.
That would double the wattage making it 1kw.
The number one priority in electric vehicle design is keeping the power consumption as low as possible. You only have a set amount of battery life.
Being miserly will increase the range of travel on a single charge.
