I used Omnitrope for my last 2 cycles of IVF and it made all the difference with my embryo quality. My 1st cycle produced 2 fair quality embryos and both were normal tested boys. One of them is in the cryotank but the other one ended in a chemical miscarriage. My last 2 cycles had 3 normal embryos, two were boys and one girl. The boy used ended in a stillbirth due to placental issues. I am currently 23 weeks pregnant with a boy and I really think it was the Omnitrope that helped out.

I’m 34 and single and doing IVF with donor sperm. I was on 300iu Gonal and 20iu HCG/lh for my first stim cycle. Stimmed 8 days. I have regular cycles 28-30 days long, 2.18 AMH, FSH 7.3, TSH 1.720. Clear HSG. Normal ultrasounds. I had 15 eggs retrieved, 13 mature, 7 fertilized with donor sperm, and then none made it to blast. I transferred two morulas at 5 days and it failed. The other embryos started to degrade at day 6 and were discarded. They said my eggs looked “good” and the embryos just kinda sat there and didn’t do anything until they started to degrade. Embryology seemed stumped. I am going to use a different donor this time. I added Ovasitol in addition to the prenatal and coq10 I have taken for a few years. I am getting my vitamin D up because that is chronically low even on supplements. Would priming with Omnitrope possibly help in my case? I was not a poor responder and my embryos made it most of the way. I’m trying to figure out what I can ask about changing. I’m so scared I just won’t be able to have kids for some reason. :(
1) There is surprisingly little that can determined about an egg by its appearance under a microsocope. I’ve never used omnitrope before but my doctor is recommending it, this cycle because of my AMH level he says, and age. My AMH is less than 2 I believe.
I produced 3 follicles that appeared matured but at my egg retrieval we found out eggs weren't mature.. is this my next step using more hormone injections ?

I noticed there are studies out there (mainly looking at GH supplementation in children) that discuss a potential association between GH and certain cancers (i.e., colorectal, bladder). Should I be concerned with that, if I have normal GH levels, and use GH as an adjunct in IVF?
The amount of growth hormone given to children and the length of time it is given is much higher and longer than what is given for IVF. *IF* there are associations with certain cancers with high dose / long term use (the data here is not convincing, by the way), the chances for those things to occur in IVF treatment would be far less. This is the concept of dose / response

Hi Dr., my wife averages about 4 oocytes with all of the injections, after three cycle attempts, a healthy fertilized embryo has not been produced. Now the Dr recommends we try Hgh for 10 days on the upcoming cycle, will this change my wife’s body-like make her hairy or give her big feet etc.? Thanks

An egg from a donor will NOT have a genetic relationship with the recipient unless the donor is previously related to the recipient (like a sister). Growth hormone can be used for women who respond poorly to standard regimens of fertility medication

when I advise my patients, we discuss two approaches 1) Aggressive stimulation 2) Minimal stimulation with multiple egg retrievals

At IVF1 / Naperville Fertility Center we often do uterine cavity evaluations in the same cycle as starting medications for an FET
