    Being from Louisiana, I've only seen snow like that maybe 2-3x max.
    Had a about 6" snow in 2000, I was in a 1992 notchback 5.0 five-speed about midnight. Decided to hit the local mall for some big donuts maneuvers.
    Mall security saw me and locked in on my 6 position in his 2wd S10 truck and single blinky rooftop beacon. No way I was going down without a fight, so I start grabbing gears and slinging it.
    He chased me for probably two solid minutes in every figure-eight fighter jet move I had room for between the pole lights. It was the funniest 4th gear, 10mph chase I can recall.

    Love my '21 tacoma 4wd double cab trd off road with 6 speed manual trans. Slower off the line compared to auto. But love the engagement of shifting...choosing my gears. It's a blast driving it. Thank you Toyota for making the manual trans in the current Tacoma.

Didn't go up so high casue it was snowing too much and I was afraid of getting stuck, but now of watching you doing all of this, I know what this trucks are capable off!!!!!. Great video by the way, can you do more please??.

    Lol! Used to do the same thing in my hometown in the 90’s with my brand new 1992 Toyota Extra Cab 4X4 V6 5spd. Loved those days! Just bought a brand new 2020 Tacoma TRD DCLB 4X4 Auto. Would of rather had the MT but they are not available in Canada in a long box. Awesome Pro by the way!

    • @MrLordromanian
      @MrLordromanian 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you can get the mt in a long box with the access cab in canada, (super desirable configuration which is not offered in the states) which keeps the shorter OAL and wheel base, and looks way nicer then the DC imo.

    3:20 My grandmother in Connecticut finds the weather forecasters hilarious for this exact reason. They make it seem like it's the end of the world with a little snow when years ago nobody thought twice, they went to work and they drove home, that was that. No special four wheel drive all weather tires. Just a normal 80s sedan.

    • @JLeeChron
      @JLeeChron  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Miguel David not in 4x4 mode. And also the Toyota even on icy roads, the safety system would prevent the truck from sliding around. Believe me - I tried, Really impressed with it. You actually have to turn off everything at a dead stop to play around. If you want a manual, are a big fan, do not be worried about not getting around. I do hear in 4lo, it crawls, so you do not have to ride the clutch.
      Not a Jeep fan, they break down too often 🤡

      Derek Milligan 🤔 , thats actually a tough one. They all have their strengths, I’d actually have to say the ZR2, power comfort, handling.!...I kind of miss it, its a fun truck, The breakdowns tho.
      Raptor has it all -but too expensive and a larger vehicle. ...I think I have it all in the Current Tundra ride- at 1/2 the price, and the 03 Taco/02 T4R are fun projects and less $$. Thanks for watching and asking

      TheRockey764 its ok if you can get a deal on it- Some have said they don’t really like it. Better than the standard in feel/ergonomics imo.
      Thanks!

      J Lee Chronicles I ordered it for $97 which isnt all bad. How old are you btw? Bcuz I also go out pulling people out of ditches. I do drift but in a empty parking or open field. Just cuz my low level of experience compared to older people.

    Wont lie, my tacoma is the only car I DIDNT get a manual. Because the options you LOSE for it arent worth getting a manual.

      Yeah, crawl control and auto is better for hardcore off road if you do that a lot.

    Does your manual tacoma has a rattle sound from the manual gearbox? Some manual tacoma owners say the sound comes after driving for some time from a cold start and it’s super annoying. Here is a video about it on TH-cam. (th-cam.com/video/pJjb3zLqAl0/w-d-xo.html)
