    mate.. love ya work.
    I have been a metal sculptor for over 20 years and I have often thought of doing a fast how to, just like you have done here.
    I don't go into the amount of work you do in a sculpture I find something that looks the part clean it in a cement mixer and then just add it to the sculpture.
    And at last a Real Artist's workbench.
    Keep it up and good luck you have a talent.
    Tony

    Hello Rooster! First off, very nice work. I found your channel while doing some research for a project I'm about to undertake and I was hoping to get your opinion on something. I first found your "sitting robot" video, in which you painted it to essentially look like it was old/rusting. I then found this Minion video where you left it bare metal ( and I'm assuming it will rust by itself now). I was just wondering for some insight on why you chose a different path for each? I will be crafting a wine bottle that will hopefully be displayed inside so I want it to "be clean" but haven't decided on appearance yet. I can't decide between leaving it bare to rust, painting it to look rusted, or clear coating it so that it stays looking like bare metal. All i know for sure is that I want it to look like "metal", not like a glass wine bottle. Thanks in advance for your response!

    Fantastic! Can you offer any tips for someone to get started doing this who has no experience? What training did you do to get where you are now? Any help you can offer is much appreciated. Thanks for sharing your gift!

    • @roosterscreations
      @roosterscreations  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Gina Levine Hi there Gina, i have no training at all !! i am self taught in the construction and the painting. My advice in getting into this kind of art would be Scale, always try to have things in scale, if it isnt to scale it will look odd . Have fun and enjoy what your doing, step back and have a long look at what your adding next,Think of shapes then look for something that shape. Do small tack welds so you can cut them off if its not right...good luck, i look forward to seeing some of your work...subscribe for more videos coming soon :)

    Hi there, nice to see a fellow scrap metal builder. I notice you have Bender as you user pic and I actually made a Bender (Well half finished) and frankly I got stuck on lacking hollow metal balls for my intended purposes. However I see that you have and use hollow metal sphere balls right from start, may I ask where you found them and what their original purpose was so I might find some too? Thanks mate for the awesome timelapse! (WoW how cool equipment you have!!! Totally Awesome!!!)

    • @roosterscreations
      @roosterscreations  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      helturflippad Hi there, yes I built the bender in the pic.. I bought a load of these spheres a few years back at a car boot sale, they were ornamental chrome balls used for sitting in fruit bowls etc. I have built a full size bender in my workshop also, but mine is a log burner and keeps me nice and warm in the winter. I'll be doing some more time lapse builds in the not too distant future....thanks again , love your bender !! Awesome work ..keep it up :)

    • @helturflippad

      roosterscreations Howdy mate, after watching some of your videos it is pretty clear to me that you are totally awesome. The part from Waynes world where they kneel and goes "I'm not worthy!" comes to mind :)
      It would be very interesting to see your interpretations of Bender, but so far I have not found your videos of the 2 Benders you mention? It is incredibly interesting to meet another member of the select few who actually Benderized some real life size Bender. Between the two of us I have been working on a new set of legs with rollerskates for my Bender stripping down a scrapyarded hmm you know those "silly vehicles with two small wheels on the side of a platform and a long handlebar" that balances you up? I'm trying to get the legs to sense a car key theft sensor and follow me around some 5-7 meters behind. BUT man it is driving me totally nuts to get it working *phew*. (You got me, I was prolly a tad nuts before also)
      So to keep my (limited) sanity I'm doing a minion right now and working on trying to sell my body to purchase a new angle grinder because my Milwaukee exploded inside. (Not having much luck with the latter either)
      But man I am almost in disbelief in what an amazing level you are at, if I did not know better I'd suspect you had some creative superpowers mate! Now I need to go check some more of your creative videos! (Cannot beleive I have not found your vids on the tube earlier) Maybe I tube the Minion when it's finished. I'm also collecting some crap to take a punch at that robot dog Preston from Wallass and Gromit if you know it? My nephew/nephewess crapped their pants when they saw Preston and I gather somebody needs a Preston looking in through the window some dark autumn evening as therapeutic brain-massage :)
