    This is awesome. We will be doing this in the near future. What makes it perfect is the whole entire family pitching in. Great dad and mom! This is more of what we need in the world.

    How many bags did you use

    • @TheChungKids
      @TheChungKids  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Richard Leiva, 👋 I used just under 7 bags of 90 lb quikcrete, for this particular form which made 3 slabs. I will make an updated video because I've added a lot more concrete using the same form. Don't forget to use oil so the form comes off easily.

    Would these have enough traction to use around a pool?

    • @TheChungKids
      @TheChungKids  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Cody, if you're using this in a wet area, I'd recommend doing a "broom finish." All you need to do is literally go over the top with a broom to give it texture for more traction.

    Nice why did you spray it every day for 4 days

    • @TheChungKids
      @TheChungKids  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Boostedtc, I did this every morning so the concrete would absorb some moisture and wouldn't dry so quickly. If you watch our concrete countertop video, I covered it with plastic for the curing process, but when I do walkways, I usually just hose it down.

    • @TheChungKids
      @TheChungKids  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it dries too quickly, there's a higher chance of cracking

    I want to try this in my yard. However, unlike this one, in many other DIY's video I saw that steel /BRC wire was used. Is it necessary to use that?

    • @TheChungKids
      @TheChungKids  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mitchell, if you watch our concrete countertop video, you'll see that we also used BRC mesh to increase tensile strength. Since the countertop is a large slab and only 1.625" thick. When you do a walkway, it's not necessary. Thanks for watching and let us know if you have any questions along the way!
