How Can I Experience Everything as One, Even Objects?

  • How can I feel and experience everything as one, or see God's presence in everything? The woman who asks this can feel the being in herself, but asks how can she also see it in animals and even objects like a pen? Rupert guides the woman to experiencing the feeling of oneness with everyone and everything.
    The idea that our being is finite is just a belief. And this belief - that we are individual, separate beings - is what causes all the pain, suffering, hostility and judgement in the world.
    Seeing the unity of being in all people, animals and objects, or one infinite being, is the understanding that can change the world.
    This clip is taken from one of Rupert's Online Retreats at Home from 6-10 November, 2020.

      Why would being in awe of any aspect of God's infinite being something to avoid? It is all awe inspiring. Seems like the natural response, being unattached doesn't mean we can't absolutely love and cherish every moment of the endless gifts that unfold before us.

    • @projectmalus
      @projectmalus 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ThunderTitan007 Perhaps awe is the other side of gain and both a flavor, filter, onion skin or mask for the awareness to engage with or not. I'm speculating but if a baby laying on their side sees these two ways then that is where it starts. Laying there the baby perceives two massive forces of light and gravity, and identifies with the crib bar as the connection (laying on their side looking sideways) and that horizon connection being comforting to them, something to identify with.
      The other perception of being held upright and the gain from triangulating objects on a horizon, like a face reinforces objects in triangles, nipples and mouth triangle etc, basically joining objects with sticks of motion, for gain. These two perceptions (awe/comfort, and gain) seem like part of the finite, evolutionary growth response and so it depends on what you want to do, how far on that road to travel. Like not understanding one's own hunger feeling, just obeying/indulging in these things can impede one's freedom. Not sure if this is right though, cheers.

    • @ThunderTitan007
      @ThunderTitan007 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@projectmalus Ahh I see what you are saying, but I feel you misunderstood me. To be embodied or to be formed is to be divinity expressing an aspect of the infinite in finite form. Like a flower blooming or the waves in the water bobbing back and forth, There is no end to these motions and there is no pathway to be stuck on or travel down. They are already perfect and complete aspects of infinite awareness. It seems to me at this point in the unfolding of humanity we like to complicate our experience with endless thought forms and mind loops because this is the aspect of God's being that is being gifted to us at this time. Which is ultimately beautiful, that is why I even make the effort to type all this. But in the ultimate reality, our cups are already filled to the brim with the purest, clearest spring water, we can either stand and ponder how to drink or, we can simply drink and get all the enlightening nourishment that it contains within it.

      @@ThunderTitan007 Nothing wrong feeling love and wonderment with all. I feel that. But being in awe that synchronicity happens, for me anyway, suggests I stand apart from that which made it happen, and sets me up to not accept or expect it to happen all the time. We are one consciousness. The consciousness in me and the consciousness in everyone are the same. We came from this divine energy we call One consciousness. The same energy that beats my heart and sustain my body Is the same divine energy that beats your heart and keep you alive.
    When you identify yourself as consciousness ,awareness or
    presence ( you can call Self or God presence ). You will start seeing everything as Consciousness and you will intuitively feel in your soul that everything is part and essence of this divine consciousness in everyone and everything. May all Beings realize this and experience this wonderful and beautiful creation that you created. ❤ The dance of life in front of your own consciousness playing as you and you are playing as others.

      You can go a step further and see that there aren't ever bodies with hearts in them. You can recognize that there literally is no matter, and so, no organized matter. You can go further and see that all that appears as your body/mind or an other's is made only of knowing. The borders and boundaries of any body/mind are illusory because there literally is nothing objective. All there is to any perception or sensation is the knowing (of it).

    • @MrRai101

      @@sandycarter5300 I hear what you're what saying but I do think language can be very limiting when talking about these topics. All that there is knowing? What even is knowing? Do we or can we actually know anything? Or is our knowledge or knowing limited to the confines of language?

      Obviously we are something more than meets the eye, then this limited body. But that does not mean we are everything. That is nonsense. We are obviously parts not the whole. And that is eternal fact, becouse in absolute sense there is no future or past so no question of mergin or division. Or in other words, we are part of a God not a God. And since you are cognizant entity, He is also cognizant entity.

    • @monsterhuntervideos4446

      No there are different consciousness that all exist in the same reality. There are very real individual selves made in the image and likeness of God. I can prove it. If yours and my consciousness are the same then can you experience what I am experiencing or can I experience what you are experiencing? Of course you can't. Then there's individual will and intention. Am I responsible for the choices you make or are you responsible for the choices I make? Again no. Don't get duped into believing this Eastern Mysticism. If you believe you aren't a self the moral accountability, personal responsibility and individual creativity goes out the window. God made everyone unique and that's a wonderful thing. Yes there is unity and interconnections between us all, but there is also real differences between individual souls. God didn't make every living thing the same. Rupert is simply mistaken to say if I believe I'm separate to another I will be cruel. In order to love you need a beloved, otherwise it's self love. Actually believing there is no self causes cruelty because there is no personal responsibility and moral accountability if there is no real self to be responsible. If I'm just a conscious observer and nothing more then thoughts and actions are just happening, good or cruel and there is no I that's responsible for how I treat others. Plus God can easily create different persons and imbue them with the ability to love other selves and connect with them. i mean why wouldn't he able to do that, rather than just dividing up his consciousness into the illusion of billions of selves and being both kind and cruel to himself due to an illusion he created. God isn't that sinful. If one believes we are all one and we are all God then that means Hitler was God and God is capable of evil. If ultimate reality can divide its consciousness up and be evil to itself the ultimate reality is inherently evil. God is God and we are not him. He is perfect and does no evil. He is the foundation of our lives; we are not essential parts of his.

    This more or less completely answers what I would have wanted to ask about the tragedy unfolding at this time. But it also provides a lot of room for optimism. As more and more people discover this truth, many of our current problems sort of disappear. War, exploitation, fear, insecurity, and the hostility which result, greed - all of these simply fall away, becoming obsolete concepts. The paradigm of total objectivity will have been fun while it lasted 🧐

      It's not that God is a pen and a computer, etc. Those are concepts/ mental impressions that arise with the belief in subject/object. They have no actual independent existence. In fact, they conceal the perfect indivisibility of divine Mind, in which there is no time or space, no here or there, no this or that. All seeming identities are concepts only. They are the data that arises with the belief in objectivity. God = the perfect indivisibility of infinite Mind, which knows nothing finite; which knows no opposites.

      @@yahzidjohnson3370 Prior to any experience, you are the awareness that witnesses it. Even though some experiences can help, you're most likely not going to realize the true Self with experiences alone. It's require that you let go of all of that, so that the realization can occur. And since you can't be separate from the universe, the logical conclusion is that your true being resides in everything, in particular, the empty space and not just the form that it temporarily takes. Spiritual leaders are (not always) just guides to remind you of what you already know, but forgot due to the conditioning of the current life.

    My experience is that my parents died and exist no more, I still exist therefore I am separate. I chop down a tree and make a table out of the wood, the tree has ceased to exist, the table exists until it breaks and gets burnt and changes to heat, gas and ash, now the table no longer exists, it is ash. The tree is separate from the table, the table is separate from the ash all are separate from me.
    I say this because you speak of our experience showing us that we are the same in being, existing, whereas our experience shows us just the opposite. Yes the pen exists in space and time as the woman who held it does but there ends the commonality.

    My humble opinion is that when Jesus said “i did not come to abolish the law of prophets but to fulfill it” He meant that one should not be good just because I accept what is written in a book or because I want to be redeemed from my sins, but because my actions are based in the strong inner feeling that we all share the same being. True spirituality is when we don’t act expecting something good for us but rather because we feel, act and behave according to our own awakened nature just as people like San Francis of Assisi or Mother Teresa of Calcutta behaved while in this world

This is like the reasoning for the saying of the Qayyum, the Sunnah is sleepiness in the saying of the majority, and sleepiness is what precedes sleep from apathy and closing of the eyes, so if it becomes in the heart it becomes sleep, and Al-Mufaddal differentiated between the Sunnah, sleepiness and sleep, so he said the Sunnah is from the head, sleepiness is in the eye, and sleep is in the heart I finish.

    First half is brilliant deconstruction of mass delusion. Spira is a great master of this.
    However second half (why should I experience everything as one? To be genuinely kind and compassionate and create a better society) are not words from the source. They are words rooted in human pain… in Spira’s suffering and hope.
    In absolute state of oneness, there is no hope or judgement or goodness. You are pure energy. You love and accept all hate and death and joy equally. You have no wish for a brighter humanity at all. You truly don’t care if the world burns or flourishes, those ideas are just limited perspectives of the living. I know because I died from a brain haemorrhage and was brought back.
    I would answer her, why do you want to experience oneness? Because you will feel unlimited love all the time. It just feels good!

    Perception of phenomenon are inseparable from consciousness of phenomenon. Awareness has no boundaries. The multiplicity is definitely experienced, no denial. But is inseparable from consciousness of .as there is no boundaries. Hearing, seeing ,feeling is merged with OUR EXPERIENCE, experience is merged (non separate ) intermingled with awareness beingness ,the multiplicity of things into bad and good is not to be denied yet both polarities are mingled with beingness ,hence the "transcendental" aspects, beyond 'samsara' .samsara is EXPERIENCED. experience is consciousness. Both are true.but freedom found in the base first.

  • @gurugeorge
    @gurugeorge 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Your being is finite in the sense that it is intrinsically limited by being only _yours,_ a property of _yours,_ and not of everything else's serially, nor of everything else's simultaneously.
    When it comes to consciousness, you are not a consciousness that's conscious of everything (of everything that's there for consciousness, or that some thing is conscious of), but a consciousness that's conscious only of a limited perspective and "slice" of everything. However, that "slice" is in fact causally connected in numerous ways to the Whole, even if it isn't totally submerged in the whole, and has some independence. Essentially you are a kind of extrusion of the whole, a blob with its own limited (tethered by its own nature) independence, but still connected to the Whole, and still dependent on the Whole's being the way it is.
    The philosophical way of describing it is, I think, simply that you are numerically distinct from other things, but ontologically the same. You are a different being numerically (a blob somewhat apart from the rest of blob-stuff), but your being is of the same nature and quality as others,' as pointed out in this video. So in that sense it's the same "thing" that's experiencing everything that's to be experienced - yours, mine, theirs. In everything, its being or consciousness is an instance of the same "kind of thing" that's in everything else.
    The question then arises, is there a consciousness that experiences all the beings simultaneously, as it were superimposed on each other? One must suppose that answers to the traditional idea of God.
    We are little chips of God, we sort of do the same "thing" as God in our own little way (create and destroy in our own sphere of influence), and we each carry an _intelligible representation_ of the intelligible Whole that's causally connected to the Whole, albeit from a limited perspective (or somewhat in the way that shattered hologram images are slightly degraded versions of the whole image, perhaps). But that degree of responsibility is a bit too scary for most of us most of the time, so we project God outwards. And that's fine for everyday life. But it is (so the sages say) helpful to retain a background sense of connection too, and dip into the well of it occasionally.

    I'm a new student. With my limited exposure to Rupert's teachings, I get the idea that the goal is to become "unattached" from everything in a sense that we are all experiencing the same things, together, at some point or another. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's to put it simply. Which leads me to my next question: what makes anything in life special if this is the goal to become unattached?

      Hello there, KKeo4leaR, This one hopes he is not bothering you here, since your comment is from five months ago. He (myself, don't get confused) just wanted to be sure that someone responded seriously to your questions. They are really great questions and this one would encourage you to find the answers to them if you haven't already - you can do it and probably will. Do not be discouraged if it takes five months or more. The answers are so worth it!
      If you do still have questions about these issues, just say where you are in your thinking and perhaps answers can be had a bit easier than what we have become accustomed to going through for them. In the meantime, keep asking questions about everything until you are quite satisfied with the answers. Regards!

    What do you do when you know experientially the shared Being of all things, but another person acts unjustly and unkindly toward you? When they are violent towards you in word or deed? Would Rupert say it is acceptable to defend your body / mind from the attacks of others even though you know the other's spirit / essence is the same as your own? And, if so, how does one do that? How does one detach enough to do that without becoming "unconscious"?

    Thank you for all you do….I am so grateful for your insights and understanding. I hope you don’t mind my enquiring a bit further, however, as there is something that leaves me a bit unsatisfied about your reply. It’s just that I believe that two things could be infinite and never intersect at all…and so just because two things are infinite does not, I think, ensure that they are one…(like if you took the set of all even numbers vs the set of all odd numbers for instance…each of those sets is infinite yet they have nothing in common)…so I think I am missing something here. Thank you again for all that you do.
