"... We'll have that", regarding the old road to connect cycle paths. Here in the U.S. most towns and homeowners fight against bicycle paths. Nice to see those trails, paths, and cycle ways, thanks for video!
Cracking video mate your video just popped up so seeing the title I had to watch as I'm from Newcastle myself I've cycled and walked most of that route over the years will check out your other video's atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Liked It very much Gareth. England/UK is beautiful. Would like to go cycling over there after seeing this. All though the gravel roads and bridle ways look tough, certainly for a flat land Dutch guy like me. Thanks Gareth!👍💪🏻
Hi Eric. There are many miles of old railway lines around the Northeast of England that are mostly flat and can be cycled on a touring bike with sturdy tyres.
Thanks for uploading the route via STRAVA. Hoping to draw on your hardworking route planning. I’m fairly local myself, you were a mile a way from my house when you went through Wylam.
@@GriffKane yeah I’ve been watching your other videos and STRAVA stalking you this morning 🤣 I’m in Clara Vale, so I generally run up, rather than cycle up Hagg Bank. You’re also right about the bridge as well of course.
Thanks for sharing your adventure. If you ever come to the States for a bikepacking ride you can follow the Potomac River from Washington DC headed west for 185 miles following the old canal towpath. I'll meet you there!
Another great video - really enjoy seeing the countryside in Northumberland. As a local to Wallsend i know a bit if that route, but i wouldn't date go iff road like you do 😂 Loving the videos 💪🏻
Nice video! Newcastle is the starting and end point of my next years journey to Islay via Edinburgh, Falkirk and Glasgow. Back to Newcastle i will follow the Hadrians wall cycle path. Can't wait for it!
Very interesting video. You could have easily made this a 3 video series of 20mins each. Im from wallsend myself and didnt recognise alot of these tracks. Ive just bought my first road bike so need to get out and explore my local region. Keep up the good work
thanks Gareth, Bikes, camping and some history, three things I love, great stuff
Exellent video ! A pleasure to watch 👍
Enjoyed that mate, nice part of the world. Greetings from SW France.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. We often do a loop from the coast via Wylam, but never venture further on. Bit of inspiration for this year 😁
Nice one, always great to see the trails getting used... Alpaca 👍

Now worries - I go through Wylam quite a lot and Hagg Bank Bridge features on more than one video!

@@mrjonnylowes BTW. I missed a turn on day 3 - meant to take the bridleway off the A686 opposite Langley Castle.
@@GriffKane okay thanks, I’ll bear that in mind. I’ve had a look and can see the bridleway.
Glad you enjoyed your stay at Haggs Bank Bunkhouse 😁 great video cheers Danny and Helen
Thanks - thoroughly enjoyed my short stay and the party!
Great video 👍
Great video I've cycled a lot of those roads and tracks myself.
What a ride that was, thanks for taking us along! Only come across your channel today so looking forward to see what else is to come!
Lived in Newcastle all of my 39 Years, a few things I didn't know. Also, cracking name 👍

fantastic viewing
Thanks!
hell of a trip, have you a video on your bikepacking gear.well done.
I tried to record one but I was so tired I got it all wrong!
@@GriffKane i can imagine looked like a tough trip.
Sonder Camino? Spotted the colour instantly 😂
Yep - not quite as bright as the old Camino green, but distinctive nonetheless!
@@GriffKane I have exactly the same bike. Havnt done any videos on it yet, but it’s in the works. Cracking video mate. Good luck with the channel
Nice vids! I can see your sonder. How is it when you change the inner tube or tyre? Ive seen a review that says that the tyre is hard to remove? TIA
They’re ok, but since I went tubeless in January, no tyre changes!
