Thanks for this, it's forced me to look at the chart I have in more detail, it has some other alternatives to what you've shared which are handy for certain pieces. Now I know why you play sitting down! That high F# is really a str*nz*, I find it so hard to reach, but will try using my legs. Apparently you can play it with the second hole half closed but that's not any easier!
Is it hard to consistently get that lower-than-lowest note with knee? I have laid my hands on a G alto, it's a beautiful instrument, and being able to play the lower F# would greatly increase the amount of pieces I could play without transposing. But it's very delicate and not easy to get right.
@@teddybaren-bandigerin9764 If hearing a Soprano (or any high notes) gives you ear ache, see the GP about your Eustachian Tubes, and also have your molars and the sinus checked for infections if the Tubes don't clear up. It's not a question of age at all (which would cause you to hear less, not get more sensitive)
@@hexefroschbein8486 I am at my ear doctor's ambulance every month anyway for some people like me cannot do anything about ears closing up for cerumen...but once cleaned, hearing tests have all been exceptionally good, it's just my nerves...? When it comes to teeth and sinus, cronical issues are going on, and doctors don't mind.
This has been a revelation, particularly about the double holes! Thanks so very much.

Thank you a lot, you are only in whole internet whose video helped me, thank you so much, can i ask you, i can't understand where 2 octave begin(
the second octave starts with F (02), the second register start with G# (23456)

unfortunately with the knee the result is always uncertain, aleatory
Really liked your breakdown of the fingerings. Is it possible to provide fingerings for the high register g - b??

33! Non li ho mai contati.
neanche io, speriamo di aver contato giusto!
Thank you for this lesson. I do have a question though. How can i reach the notes on the 3rd register in a clean and clear way, without cracking them?
it is very complicated, it depends a lot of the quality of your instrument, but blowing in the cheeks can help to get a good sound
@@unagondolaunremo thank you for this advice
it's a bit hard to hear you without headphones. Could you please consider attaching a mic ?
yes you are right, the problem for me is the difference between speaking and playing, especially the playing higher notes on the rrecordder
Thanks! Not on behalf of my cat though, he does not like these high notes at all 😅
my dogs too!
It seems I am getting cat ears, too then, the older I am becoming...

Thats as high as you need to go. I think the alto is the best.
