Not that a lot of modern music, games, and movies aren't crap, but they've evolved over time, and some of the modern stuff is incredibly good at putting the medium through its paces, in a way that previous generations hadn't yet figured out, and with less of the fluff and gristle that previous generations didn't realize was a bad thing (see, for example, the way that older movies separated the credits into their own 5-minute stretch of some guy driving down a highway while we see the names of the major cast and crew).

I hate assign seating in theaters too. The idea is ok but they made a system were I have to plan long before I go if I'm going no "eh I'm bored let me see whats playing" or I don't get a good seat and then you do get stuck a lot next to someone cause you can't just put stuff on the seat which most people wouldn't have asked you to move if the theather is full before or just give them the "just keepin walking look" I SAY NAH TO IT!!
