Headed to San Antonio next week. Trying to figure out which barbecue joint to visit while there.

@@vlogbyday Called 2M on the morning of, but they required 24 advanced notice for large orders. Pinkerton's did not offer online ordering and did not answer their phone. So I ended up picking up barbecue from Two Bros. and Rudy's . . . but was unable to partake of any of it due to a severe case of food poisoning starting early that same day (presumably from the room-order breakfast at our hotel).
I think the owners of 2M used to work at FRANKLINS in Austin..

Brisket looks like it’s over cooked..how do I Know?…this past weekend my brisket looked like that because my thermometer was off by 9 degrees 🤣🤣🚮 wasted a whole ass day.

Every “best bbq” place ends up being complete trash
If you go by Texas monthly then you’ll never be disappointed or you simply don’t like BBQ and aren’t Texan that could be the problem too
There are a few on that list that I dont think they belong at all. I actually made my own list. Texas Monthly is sleeping on a few great places !
@@vlogbyday anything north of Corpus Christi is trash for bbq. People adding sauce, using oak and pecan wood instead of mesquite, potato salad sides, no stringy beef, no jalapeño salad, no charro beans, pulled pork that doesn’t belong in Texas, I could go on forever how Texas bbq has changed for the worse.

Have you tried Pinkerton BBQ in downtown SA. Also the Burnt Bean bbq in Seguin is great!
