🍸How to make a Quarantina
Recipe for two:
One part honey syrup
One part lime juice
Two parts Tequilla (Reposado in this case)
Splash of sparkling water
How to make the honey syrup:
Bring water to a slight simmer. Add one part hot water to one part honey. Stir. Shake with ice and pour over ice with salt on the rim. The splash of soda water comes after the shake. Trish uses a shot glass as a measurement tool for her parts.

I’m an EMT on an ambulance so I stay in my RV while I’m away from home half the week for work (I travel 100 miles away from home for work.) I’m also keeping it at the ready in case an exposure puts me into quarantine in order to keep my family safe by not bringing COVID 19 home to them. PSA: help us do our job safely...wash your hands...a lot!😀, don’t call 911 unless you seriously need it and if you need toilet paper my secret find has been the RV section in Walmart!! All those non RVers don’t know about the TP on that isle🙌
The public (and RV'ers) here have discovered Walmart's RV toilet paper shelves and raided them.

I have a friend who owns a very successful BBQ restaurant. He kept his entire staff on and moved into an all takeout model. He is foregoing his salary so he can keep his staff working (he's operating at about 60 % of normal volume through a window on the building). This is a firsthand example of the generosity and creativity Mark was talking about!

I could tell Trish was not thrilled with it, but she stuck with it and managed to make the best with what she had. Love that about her, and thanks for being honest about the challenges. We are down in Sonoran Hills and I agree that we are fortunate to be in the west. My boys and I can get outside anytime and, once warmer weather comes, we have the pool to play in. Take care. My wife is a nurse and works the front lines, we are using ours as a quarantine area. Our area hasn't been hit yet, but when it does my wife will be living out there to help protect the kids. Thanks KYD for keeping us inspired!
So I am in the Air Force & we were suppose to move stations from NC to MT. So we got a camper to make is a bit of fun. Well that move got moved from April to June. However life doesn’t stop, so the house closing still happening, so we head to base & will be living full time. Which with everything going on will bring us close & with all hopes will help us slow down to focus on us as a family. KYD y’all help a lot with us. (Also we ended up getting a storage unit, sound familiar, lol) Also we started small & there are the days we wonder if we went too small with 2 adults, 2 toddlers, 1 large dog, 1 small dog & wife is pregnant. This will be adventure!

Often when I feel depressed I think of this channel and find myself watching your latest video. I love your children, they take after their parents, always a joy for me to come to your channel and at the end of your videos I feel refreshed and emerged with happiness. We closed on our house the first week of March, made a quick trip 4 states away to buy and pick up our RV the day the stay-at-home order started at midnight, and are parked on our parent's land by their house. It is giving us much needed office and homeschool space and beds for our boys while we are living with family. We're planning to go full time later this summer! We just did our first movie night in it last week!!! We love it and look forward to many adventures to come in it! It's a Reflection 312!

It is July 15, 2021 and we finally got to this episode. KYD videos is one of the ways we got through the pandemic quarantine. We started watching in May 2020 after a recommendation from a good friend on a zoom call and have been watching 2-3+ a week to catch up. Many of our camping plans got cancelled because of park closures but we did get out a few times and it was wonderful. This video was hilarious. Loved the Karnak impression! We have a 19 foot 1975 winnebago brave that can carry 2 kayaks and our bikes and us and provisions for weeks. Looking very forward, now that we are fully vaccinated, to more “camping” and longer trips.
Love, love, love!!!! Simple example of creativity replacing anxiety: A gal in our subdivision organized a scavenger hunt for kids/parents on Facebook. I started getting excited about simple ways to decorate my front porch. The more I planned, the less stressed I became, and, boom, anxiety gone.
Glad you guys uploaded, you guys inspire me and family to get out and go camping. You guys are good people. On a side note , Mexico was my favorite season

My wife and I are traveling and living in our Rv. We are in a RV ministry (SOWERS-Servants on Wheels Ever Ready). We are staying put at our present ministry project-Gospel Rescue Mission in Tucson. We have decided to say here and not travel to California to our next project. We live in Alaska and cannot go home anyway because the border is closed into Canada.
My wife and I LOVED the show. The Great Carnac skit was done perfectly including Trish's Ed imitation of hermetically sealed! Format was a great break from your usual KYD greatness. Can't wait to order STR shirts!!!

Bought my camper in Nov. 2019, and then I have slept in it almost every night since then. Started going out to OBX a few times but was really cold. As soon as we were ready to go, quarantine. Now, I am out filling the tanks with water and ready to head to TN since it is finally opened!
We still camp out in the RV even though it's not new. We try out the AC, the heat, the bedding, the storage, the electronics....its a dry run in the driveway.
Such a blessing to have a peace that surpasses all understanding.

Y'all are always a bright spot in the TH-cam world, but especially now! I JUST (as in, THIS WEEK!) bought a van that I'm going to begin converting. While I cannot go & see friends or go to the gym on the weekends during this lockdown, at least it'll help me stay on track with my van build tasks!

We were in SC when we got word that everything was closing down. We were so thankful that we were in our RV on vacation. We had a 16 hour ride ahead of us to get home. Self contained was the way to go. We stayed in a Walmart parking lot and were able to use our own facilities for dinner and bathroom breaks. Love our RV.

We used our CV escape capsule to make the trip from AZ to OH. It was so nice to feel secure and safe by keeping our distance while still enjoying the journey. Did not appreciate the closing of the rest areas, Locking the restrooms would have been fine but not being able to stop and relax was a problem. I think of the poor truck drivers. The good side however was the lack of traffic (that was special).

Wife, dog and I are working our way back to Wisconsin after snowbirding in the south the past four months. All of a sudden, we're having trouble finding RV sites. National Parks, COE's and most state parks are closed. Springfield, IL Double J RV park is open but only for transient campers. Of course, all the Lincoln tourist sites are closed. Just watching the rain fall...again!

You should come visit the East coast of Canada (when you can), I am the Executive Chef of an Italian restaurant in New Brunswick, and my husband and I are enthusiastic ATV'rs. we could show you so many amazing places, and you know probably cook you a meal you might like.
Wow, we're atv'rs here on the west coast of B.C., and I can cook, so long as it's just a hot-dog! lol. Have yourself a fabulous spring/summer season with them. We're planning (depending on this virus situation) to head to Utah in September with our atv's for some riding on the Paiute Trail there!

Just passed through Flagstaff as the snow started going from Grand Canyon to Sedona, wondered if you where there. Showed off our KYD hats all over south Utah and Arizona. Heading back to Indiana now and watched the replay of livestream. Great stuff, makes us smile and laugh. Thanks

We live in our rig on my sister's property until we can travel. My husband is an avid reader and I love acrylic panting. We are using this time to relax working on our hobbies. Thank you for your sharing and information that can help so many people. 😊

We are moving across the country via our RV in early April. We've had this planned for months and things had already been set in motion before this all started, so the show goes on! We had plans for a National Park or two along the way which might change but it will be interesting to see what facilities remain open along the way. Thanks, KYD, for the positivity!
We got our rig a year into Covid March 2021. I definitely spent time in it in the driveway. Glad I have 30amp (Sacramento summers 😳) we were camping every month since the shelter in place orders were removed. I quarantined in it away from my family after I had some symptoms it was a blessing to have. I also worked that week from the RV it was great.
We left our base...volunteering with a Year to Volunteer...working on a church damaged by a hurricane. Having a blast. Making new friends. Staying safe. 30 degree difference in temperature. Much warmer and less rain....yeah!!!! Went to Padre Island today.
Great show guys! Camping is when you need to decamp at midnight following an unbelievable wind/rain storm that shattered your tent...and leaves you sleeping in the Miata...you read it right ;-). Then RVing...is what you do the following summer, when you partner says: no more, I need a queen bed, central heat/AC and a shower! Hahaha, we love your videos...certainly hope you can make it east - up here in Quebec, everything is closed for the next 3 weeks! This COVID-19 thing is scary! Saturday, we took our 4 kids ages 23, 21, (and girlfriend) 19 & 14, in our Class C to a town 30 minutes away...got takeout, and parked along the Mississippi River and had lunch...then drove home. Loved having us all together, watching them play Uno, and listening to them laugh! Memories made! ❤️
Missed the live stream, but we enjoyed watching Monday night. We're sheltered in place in Tennessee, looking forward to getting out on the road some day. Praying our 48 day Southwest trip that is supposed to start May 18 doesn't have to canceled. Thanks for the enthusiasm!
An important book my husband has read and shared with others: The Upside of Stress by Kelly McGonigal. He coaches overseas workers & had found it very helpful in a culture that has raised kids in protective mode & now as adults they have no clue how to function in chaos. The author has also done a TedTalk.

Sorry we missed the live stream. We love watching your episodes each week here in Alaska. When our shut down began to happen, and both my wife and I were directed to work from home (education and medical), we seriously considered working from our camper (2019 Outdoors RV 27 BHS), and thought it would be great! We ultimately decided against due to our kids still needing to be supervised :-).
And yes, at 26 minutes, we want you to come back to Alaska! We actually discovered your youtube channel during the season while you were filming in Alaska. We were in Seward on an in state trip when we changed our thinking from buying a cabin, to buying a camper. Your "getting started right with what you have" was a big driver in this decision.

I just got a brand new Aspen Trail. It’s my 3 trailer, and yes, I’ve been spending so much time in it in front of my house. Lol. We will go on our first trip in it in 2 weeks. I can’t wait

We too have been canceling our reservations since the beginning of 2020 for our own health reasons and had to do it again with these latest issues affecting all of us. We sold our RV a year ago and bought our first rental house. We are trying to stay optimistic that we will be able to rent an RV in Europe late Summer/early Fall and come back and purchase our next fulltime rig. We had a gas class A and are considering a Winnebago Forza (diesel) bunkhouse or a Grand Design Momentum. Till then, it's sidewalk chalk on the driveway, bike rides around the neighborhood and sitting on the back patio for dinner (when it's not raining) and using the RV propane firepit!
We were planning a cross country trip from Pennsylvania to California and of course that got postponed so we now have our RV in our driveway and are actually doing some upgrades to it. keeping my husband (mostly) and I busy . And like you said it is the perfect getaway from home especially for our kiddos (4 and 2 years old). Stay safe!

We bought our travel trailer the end of January. Picked it up the end of February. It's sitting on our property ready to go! We have plans to go to a local state park on April 5th and 6th with our nephew and niece (who also just bought a used Class A). Our campsites are next to each other and so far, the park is still open. It will be the first camping trip for both of us with our new purchases. We will practice social distancing as much as possible around the camp fire. Unfortunately, we are not asking the rest of our family to join us and will miss our daughter and her family. A bummer for our first trip, but we will have plenty of time in the future for larger gatherings. Stay safe!

So far, Arkansas hasn’t closed down yet, and our first 2 week trip is still a go. I am watching closely to information, but I am hopeful we can still go.
The health and fitness if it could be done by people in our current situation. Any distraction is good. And exercising helps moods plus I think it will be awhile before gyms open again. Your light hearted video kept me smiling while I was making new cushions at home for my van. Forced time at home is letting me get lots of jobs done. Yes,I hate on-line reservations. I was in NE last summer and NY has some great parks but very hard to get a site, but who knows this year. I’m in MD and I would love to come to a meet-up where ever. We dropped our RV at the dealer yesterday for yearly maintenance. I work for our local school system in north Georgia and husband works for Pepsi about an hour from our home. If we’re able to find a camping site somewhere between we live and where he works, we’d love to go for a few nights. Our dog Rosie and I could just hang out while he is working and what better way to “social distance” than being out in nature. We’ll just have to see how things stand once we get the RV back. We are spending our quarantine time gutting our new-to-us 2005 Coachman Freelander - somewhat blindsided with water damage so your stream was a positive end to our weekend! We just brought it home in time!
We are in a park, practicing "social distancing" as all activities here have been suspended. We go out for walks and the gym is still open as well as the clubhouse, I am basically that goes there. We have a class C with a great awning, I say that because it has rained here in NC a LOT!! But with the awning I can at least get out of the RV and breathe some fresh air. Oh, I am traveling with my son who works from the RV and I am retired! Thanks for this great video, all your videos I also look forward too! God bless and stay safe!!

We are very blessed to be able to stay on our daughter & son-in-laws property that has an RV pad with full hookups as our home base. My husband & I have been full timing for three years in our 5th wheel. We also have a storage unit and our plan is to have it cleared out by the end of April. Haven't used it in 3 years...don't need it!! 😄 Love your video's..can't wait to see new rig!!

Took our RV to Arizona for spring training February 22. Left today and headed to our place at ORPS in Palm Springs. Will stay here instead of going home to LA.

Thank you! We’ve been watching your videos for some time, but now with mandatory “time off”, and no spring break, we’ve been binge watching from the start of season 1. Trying to be patient waiting for our new rv to arrive. I’ll be the one camping in my driveway as well!
We had our rig in storage and were in Spain and Portugal when this whole COVID-19 thing blew up. We canceled all of our plans overseas, flew home and we're now using our RV for a 14 day self-quarantine before exposing society to us :-) We're full-timers, so now here we sit, waiting to see what's going to happen so we can decide where to go from here. Currently hunkered down in Georgia with all of our plans gone to pot.
I’m a nurse and my hands stay dry. Gold bond has an antibacterial lotion. I recommend it. I use it all the time.

Keep Your Daydream I am also a nurse and I use Aquaphor for my dry hands. When I worked in the allergy clinic we also recommended it for people with mild eczema.
My wife is out grabbing our RV right now, a month ahead of schedule. We're going to use it as my office while working from home and for a study area for the kids.

My wife and I have purchased a periment site for this comming summer on lake erie. Its close to where you were when
you were up here. If we cant travel we will still have a place to go. We are holding out hopes for Oshkosh and upper michigan
for july and august but with state parks closed it could be rough. Love your attitude, keep it going.
In Colorado state and county parks are still open for camping (currently). Just came home from a long weekend.

Just a little FYI... when coming to New England, the best time is fall. No bugs, not as hot and the foliage is gorgeous!! This is based on how it is in Maine, where I live.
