For me, the singer did an amazing job technically speaking and she "put herself" in the music which was great, not some wannabe Bonnie Tyler trying to match her voice as the original singer.

This song is a trap.. singer needs experience, good breath control and strong voice to at least try to reach what Bonnie Tyler did when she was younger :) This is just a weak tea...
Do you even know anything about actual singing technique? She just doesn't have the rasp to her voice. It takes a great deal of special training to develop that if you don't have it naturally, or you will ruin your voice -- which is exactly what Bonnie Tyler did. Love Bonnie, but her vocal nodules surgery and subsequent further damage is what gave her the rasp. Further, she did those key changes very well, and she did what she could to add intensity tothe song without rasp, like the really nice run at 1:59
Caroline=-Grace has a clean presentation with this song... Bonnie Tyler had had surgery at the time she released Holding Out For A Hero in its original form and would have sounded like this one if she hadn't needed the surgery for what ever reason... Jennifer had a cleaner presentation but still wasn't as good as Bonnie's...
Lackluster, nobody can ever do it as good as Bonnie! There was no passion, no fire, not an emotion, just another karaoke attempt at reproducing one of the greatest songs ever written and performed by one of the greatest artists of our time!
