It's a mix between the original by Bonnie Tyler and the version from "Shrek 2" in a glorious Power Metal version.

If there was an album of all the covers that Tommy has done I can listen to it all the time. They're awesome covers of the original version of the song. There's something about Tommys singing voice that keeps me coming back and keep listening to the song's he covers from other musicians.

Damn, this was song that was begging to be covered by Tommy. That melody and those lyrics with his powerful, Power Metal-infused voice were a match made in heaven.
Tommy comes back swinging with another recovering of a song he recorded a WHILE ago for Swedish Hitz goes METAL way back when. This is also far and away a MUCH stronger version than his earlier cover. It's still to this day one of the greatest 'pop' songs that has translated into a metal anthem better than most other songs have been. Even the original first featured in FOOTLOOSE (feel old yet?!?!?!!?) had that edgy 'metal' vibe to it even though it was released as a more rock/dance track back in the early 80's. Still one of Tommy's BEST cover songs he's ever done.
I always wondered why no one ever did a decent power metal cover of this song: it was basically screaming "Please, make a power metal version of me!"
