After Savasana your Central Nervous System is in it's Happy Place
Don't ruin all the Benefits now!
As a Yoga Teacher I feel strongly - OK Passionately
that it's important to awaken your body lovingly and consciously
Bolting upright can signal a Fight Flight or Freeze scenario to your body
not to mention the risk of injury on your back
Want to know the safest, easiest and most beneficial way to Wake-Up in the morning or after your final resting posture of Savasana.
Come back to the breath
Perhaps make some small movements
Perhaps take a big stretch
Bring the soles to the earth
Roll to one side
right is your Yin or Femine side to keep your energy within and stay calm
left is your Yang or Masculine side to take energy from outside
Press the upper palm into the earth and simultaneously straighten the upper leg
Come up on your side
Voila you are sitting upright!
If you find it difficult to get up from the floor
Come to your hands and knees
Step one foot forward bring the sole down
Curl the back toes
Left the back knee
Bring the back sole down - if you can step it a little forward
Keep both legs bent
Curl the spine to stand
Give it a try and of course if you can have a support like a chair close by in case you want a little extra support
Take your Time
