Gardar and Meghan are such genuine and kind people. Gardar spoke with me for quite a while and even taught me some Icelandic. He smiled a lot... probably because I can’t speak Icelandic and it’s funny. But either way he is so great. And Meghan is wonderful. I’ve met the whole cast and I feel so blessed to be able to call them friends now
Meghan and Gardar are honestly the most beautiful and genuine people ever. Some of my favorite people I’ve ever met at the stage door. I saw the show in Chicago and it was amazinggg. Also Gardar’s accent is the cutest thing.
Weptmite since 2009. Honestly it’s just a fan fiction and bad writing, but yet a guilty pleasure of mine. The Australian cast was shot professionally and released on DVD so you can probably find it on TH-cam
I don't think it should be said that a hardcore Phantom fan will hate it. I say this because there are some hardcore Phantom fans who loved it too. It just depends on your own interpretation of Phantom and how the characters grew in the future. Some Phantom fans want the story to end where the first Phantom ended, so they're not so open-minded to Love Never Dies. (These ones tend to be fans of the book too, which ended with the Phantom dying at the end.) As Meghan and Gardar hinted at, the characters from the first Phantom has developed over ten years. Some fans love the development of the characters while others hate it. A little spoiler, if you're a fan of Phantom's and Christine's relationship, you might like Love Never Dies. I would suggest for you to check it out at least once to make up your mind. Don't let the review of others discourage you unless you're nitpicky to musicals.
It's not something hardcore fans across the board will hate. i think if your interpretation of the original is that Christine did not have romantic feelings for Erik and that her marriage to Raoul would be perfect without any issues, then you'll be disappointed. but honestly: an aristocrat marrying beneath him was kind of social suicide, so it's actually kind of realistic that that fairytale doesn't pan out.
Maybe I am crazy, but I love this show though I have never seen it live. My daughter who loved the original won't even watch the DVD or listen to LND's music because she is convinced the original had a complete happy ending based on Leroux's book. To her a continuation that alters the original author's ending is unthinkable. Christine obviously loved both men for different reasons. If ALW hadn't contrived circumstances to make Christine's marriage to Raoul a failure, this story wouldn't be possible. However, the ending of the original Phantom always left me feeling unsatisfied and incomplete, so I relish the sequel and love its music.
God this show was exactly the train wreck I hoped. It’s like the Mommie Dearest of musicals. Its absurd, overdramatic, and when you step back, hilariouslt silly.

The way they reworked this production was perfect, truly perfect. I’ve waited so long to see the show and it exceeded my expectations
Noel Luna I love this show I just wish that they had kept the old beauty underneath. Otherwise I completely agree

Hoping it would fail is really mean-spirited of you. A lot of people happen to enjoy it.
Love Never Dies is a horrible show.
That is your opinion; not a fact.
