James incorrectly advises that all models have the same suspension when in fact the top range Summit model has air suspension. James expresses an opinion over fact implying the high drivers seating position is a negative instead of ‘down & in’ the car.
Piano black near touch points is a recipe for disaster. I hope this thing is more reliable then the outgoing model. It certainly looks ok, but its definitely a bit on the pricey side.
Piano black a disaster, now that's a over the top comment. And of course the reliability thing had to pop up. the last 4 years of the WK had a better reliability record than Toyota. On the pricing, I agree, but that will come down, so are all other cheap, no, checkout Toyota LC, crazy.
I agree, but all manufacturers are dropping diesel, it's going to be a fact of life. Talk to people now buying the Y62 patrol, they love that petrol engine.
Poorly priced vehicle. Why spend $124000 on a Patrol V6 jeep and who’s gonna take this off roading. Better buy the new Ford Everest Platinum or even the 2023 Hyundai Palisade if off roading is not a priority.
Are you just cut and pasting this comment on every review? Fact is- some will take it off road. I agree it is expensive. I've taken my current 75k model off road heaps of times, and it is very capable. Can't wait for the 5 seater to come out, and grab one of those to do the same
I'm sorry, but the Nissan Patrol, LR Discovery, Toyota Prado and even the new Land Cruiser is a better options and value. This Jeep should be priced on par with cars like the Ford Everest rather.
The problem is that this car sits on a vastly more expensive and sophisticated platform than Everest - it’s the Alfa Romeo Giorgio platform that was designed for premium cars, so it’s super expensive to produce and is much more a luxury car platform than a body on frame small truck platform as per Everest. Some people will care about the restriction, some won’t even recognise it.
It’s way to expensive for a Jeep & with no diesel I wouldn’t expect great sales numbers. For the price of the model with low range you are better off buying a Landcruiser 300 or the NIssan Patrol, even though it’s V8 petrol it should have better reliability than a Jeep.
You have to read between the lines... Jeep doesn't expect people to use this for hauling a dunny to the outback like a typical UTE or a family SUV driver would. Do a blindfold test on the interior to see what class this is on. Is a LC300 or a Y62 better? Sure, for some. Live and let live. No one's replacing those with this.
I’m pretty keen on it… wanting a large family car comfortable for long trips, but also for regular school runs ect… don’t wanna go off road all the time, but would love the opportunity to be able to on the rare occasion. Been looking at the Palisade, but it’s not good enough for off road, don’t want something like a prado, cause they are too high, and then not as comfortable to be using the back seats full time, not to mention nowhere near as luxe and lacks so much tech… checked the Limited out today, and I have to say, the seats and room ect is very comfortable and spacious, even more roomy than the Palisade…
When the Chinese automakers begin to tune there vehicles in Australia 🇦🇺 it’s going to be stiff competition for the US and Japanese auto makers in Australia 🇦🇺 and the world

Such an amazing SUV.
Australia doesn't have the 5 seaters which is a shame.
Considering the 5 seater was just introduced to the US Market.
the 5 seater is coming early next year I think and it could have there new 3L twin turbo 6 which will be the engine of choice.
@@commonsense-grs don’t forget 6.4 & 7.0 V8 hemi to replace the dated 5.7 V8 hemi
@@electricdiesel1993 haven't heard that one, I hope you are right.
Great review. Thank you for so much detail and honesty
what is the name of your watches on your wrist james cleary
I wish Grand Cherokee L to replace a dated 3.6 V6 with a 3.0 twin turbo L6 and 5.7 V8 hemi will supersede by 6.4 & 7.0 V8 hemis
Should never got rid of the diesel
"ALL NEW" same engine as previously

It’s all about price in this stagflation
It cant compete without having a diesel option
Very Flat looking seats and any reviewer saying piano black is good he is a paid reviewer
What was jeep thinking...no diesel

I think a ford Everest is cheaper
nahhhh fordd!

Sht warranty however, obvs still don’t stand by their products 😂
With their reliability history how long it be before it leaves you stranded somewhere…I wouldn’t trust it
those days are gone, they have been reliable of late
When will you people get over this reliability thing. they were some issues 6 or 7 years ago and still going on about it.
I'm on Jeep number 4. They have all been great. 3 of the 4 have been the 5.7 Hemi. I will miss that, but the reliability thing is getting old
Arent Jeeps known to be Lemons?
At these prices, I don’t understand who this is meant to appeal to. Everything it’s trying to do is done better by other cars.
