Thank you both again for another delightful lesson Charles and Gail. You have more than one gift but, for me, the important message you’re able to express is that one doesn’t need expensive equipment but just having the courage to have a go. I’m going to have a go on this subject, I’ve got the Langton paper already and I’ll make do with the rest of my equipment. It’ll be quite a change from😢 my frustrating attempts at botanical art. Excellent work, Charles!
Suggestion: If you do this painting again, in watercolor, then consider painting the birds in a "toned-down" gray. The birds you painted are too black for my taste. Your acrylic painting had the lighter birds on-top of the darker clouds and that allows us "not" to focus on just three black birds. Opinions are like... What do I know! :)

Good day Mr. Evans! I've really been enjoying your watercolour videos lately (even bought a set of brushes from you), but I seem to have a problem you don't have... Every time I pre-wet my paper, it starts bulging and waving up on me, just outright misbehaving! I have two different 200g weight papers, and it happens to both of them. Any tips for a novice?

Hopefully you’re painting on an easel, because if you’re painting flat any paper will buckle. Because the water won’t run down it will just gather on the paper.

@@charlesevans7706 I am. I tape my paper to a flat plate, and rig up on my easel. If I put on too much water I end up with wobbly paper, if I try to be more careful with the wetness it dries up too fast. Thanks for replying! Guess I'll get some 300g paper and just keep trying :)
