I started drawing just a few months ago, 4 years Prior I got into sketching landscapes but dropped it after a month of 2. This week I got back into landscapes and trees etc. your videos are a blessing! Realy motivating me to play around with Watercolor pencils and thx to them I lost the fear of using colors to begin with! Thank you so much for your Videos!
SOooooo, very glad to see you here demonstrating watercolor pencil painting. I bought your book, "Quick and Clever Watercolour Pencils," many years ago. and still have a copy. I hadn't painted with pencil in a long time. I had a surgical accident and lost the use of my hand 2 1/2 years ago and I am still in weekly Neurological therapy...Getting better was linked to my strong desire to create again. I wanted to see if I could still do something I really liked. I learned that fine line drawing is a thing of the past. I had been trying to do traditional watercolor also, but mixing was a challenge. Then I remembered your book and realized what I could do. So I got it out, just because I enjoyed it so much. I needed something that made me feel like painting and enjoying it were possible again. That was a week ago. And here you are. Just whom and what I needed, so I can see where and when, I need to do what. And now I'm painting with a pencil and loving it. Thank you again, so very much, for your TH-cam channel. Of course, I subscribed. I hope you continue to show us some watercolor pencil work. There is so little here.
You are by far the best instructor I have ever worked with . Your easy going manner and encouraging attitude makes me want to come back again and again.❤
I’ve just got some pencils and this tutorial was exactly what I wanted. I live near the Lake District so have loads of views like this on my doorstep to have a go at. Thanks.
Wow! Thank You so much for this amazing experience! I’ve always been a bit apprehensive about using watercolors, especially watercolor pencils! Thanks to you, I’m going to give them a try! Hoping for the best! Thanks again!❤
Have dabbled in different media, oil pastels, soft pastels and acrylics and enjoyed those, I tried watercolour but everything turned out muddy and yuk! However, your tutorial has inspired me to try watercolour pencils and I love them! So much easier to control. Thanks for your excellent no nonsense tutorials. Ps - I have just treated myself to your book Quick and Clever Watercolour Pencils too!
Thank you for this demo! I feel inspired to dig out the old pencils and have a go. So strange to see you with a long pencil, not a stub! Best wishes to you both. Keep safe.
This is a lovely picture, and a lovely presentation. Being quite new to the art of watercolor pencils, I was as enchanted as a small child at a magic show when you used the clean brush to produce clouds and glare on the water. Thank you so much for all of the wonder!
Fantastic stuff. What a thoughtful and informative tutorial. Love your little landscape! Thank you for inspiring me to get out my watercolour pencils again 🌻👏
Thank you so much for sharing this. I love to use water colour pencils but have always struggled with large open spaced areas such as sky and water. This has been a wonderful help.
How amazing! Thanks for the inspiration. I was given some Faber-Castell watercolour pencils for my 50th birthday. I love your technique. I'm gonna give it a whirl! Thank you Charles.
It was this video and your last acrylic one that’s just made me order a couple more pads, a 24 tin of pencils and a full set of acrylics off your site. Shakes fist at screen! .. stop making me spend money Mr Evans! Haha. Only joking, love your videos and really looking forward to trying the pencils. Great prices on your site too, can’t be beaten. Thank you 😊👍
