MARRAKESH | MOROCCO | DAY 2 | TANJIA | A TASTE OF MARRAKESH

- On our second day in Marrakesh, we decided to stay and explore the streets of Medina, but this time, we were not as adventurous as on our first day since we were still a bit exhausted from all the exploration we had done on our first day in the city.
We visited several stores in the city, which I immensely enjoyed because we saw pretty exciting things. Although I was a bit uncomfortable with the haggling because I'm not used to it, it seems normal to negotiate the prices if you shop in the old town. I wanted to buy kitchen wares, plates, cups, and tons of Moroccan spices; however, I needed check-in baggage to bring everything back to Barcelona, haha 😂
I lost count of how many times we bought freshly squeezed pomegranates in the streets! I enjoyed the small talk with the vendors, which made me wish that I should have studied a bit of Arabic or French before visiting.
The highlight of our second day was the Moroccan Tanjia we had in the square marketplace, Jemaa el-fna. The Couscous was also great, but the Tanjia? It was so "MASARAP," which means delicious in our language! This slow-cooked Marrakesh dish definitely left a mark on my taste buds and every part of me. Not only because the meat was so tender, but the perfect balance of the spices was also on point.
How I wish I could have the Authentic Tanjia in Barcelona! 🥹😩🤤
