I really have to give props to the interviewer. It's been such a long time since I've seen such an engaging interview that didn't feel forced or cringey. So far, I'm liking what I'm seeing on "Legacies." It both reinvents & reboots "The Vampire Diaries " franchise in a fun & exciting way that invites the casual viewer that may not have seen or heard of the first two installments to get on-board the franchise. In other words, you don't have to have knowledge of the first two shows to enjoy it. "Legacies" can serve as a great jumping on point for viewers who are completely new to the VD Universe. So far, it seems to be working as the first 4 episodes of "Legacies" have outperformed the last three seasons of "Originals" in viewership numbers & is also coming in slightly ahead of the new "Charmed" in viewing figures as well. It is also currently the 4th most watched show on the CW website & app. I don't know about you, but I would call that a surprise success. It not only proves that there is still an audience for this franchise, but that people were ready for the franchise to be taken in a different direction. Looking forward to your comments on this.
Loving the show so far! The writing is great and the cast are amazing and so talented. Can’t wait for more. This is coming from someone who only saw bits and pieces from TVD and TO.

I have a lot of issues with the new show, this is why I most likely won't watch it. Of course not, it's another show and different story, the same when TVD started. Julie already said to everyone that Legacies it would be very different.
Why would they be? Carolines not their real mom, they're joes kids, which is why they're siphoner witches since alaricks a human. Plus they wouldn't have almost killed careoline in utero since they could have siphoned themselves. I guess it would have been possible if they died right after birth with carolines blood in them.

A lot of people can't (or at least shouldn't be able to) come back because a lot of the purgatory dimensions were destroyed and the shows have said once you go to the Bright World, you stay there. But Julie could always make a new rule.
